Yes. As was mentioned in the description for the Order, one of the Watchers Joe Dawson sent to investigate, returned twenty years later. As of now, the Watchers have become aware of the Sacred Order. I have some reports to post from the Watcher to Joe, detailing his experience which i'll post as i also post the chronicles for the Masters.

Of course, all of this means the Watchers will have to find a way to keep this knowledge compartmentalised, because if word gets out that the Order has been compromised, then The Apostate will be activated (if he/she doesn't already know about the Watcher's escape!).

    More to come!

    Cheers

Hope these meet with your approval! Lol

Also i need some suggestions from the missing roster for one more Immortal to fill the role of the Order's Cleaner, known as The Apostate. He/she is responsible for protecting the secret of the Order's existence. Anyone, Immortal or mortal, who gets close to knowing it exists or where it is, he/she eliminates the threat. The Apostate is suspected in the deaths of hundreds of mortals, at least six Immortals who's killer was never identified, and at least a dozen Watchers over the centuries. Although not evil, The Apostate is a cold blooded killer absolutely devoted to the Order and willing to do whatever he/she has to to ensure its continued existence.

    Cheers

Apollo, here is a list of potential Pathfinders and Sentinels, Immortals likely to work in Pathfinder/Sentinel duos.
    Cheers !

    POTENTIAL PATHFINDERS

    John the Apostle

    Evangelist
    Notable characteristics : Undetermined
    Weapon : Undetermined
    Recorded kills : None known

    Status
Most recent base of operations : No fixed location
Occupation : Missionnary, spreading the world of
Christ around the world; occasional martyr
Prior occupations : Disciple of Christ
Roster of Immortals Status : Missing
Date : 650 Destruction of Timgad by Berbers

    Victor : N.A
    Watcher : Research, Middle East

    Background
    Original cultural affiliation : Unrecorded
    Born : Unrecorded
    First death : Undetermined
    First teacher : Undetermined
Known associates : Jesus of Nazareth, Lazarus,
    the Three Nephites
First recorded sighting : 100 Ephesus, Anatolia
Martyrised by the Romans, encounter with
Dyonisius, confirmed to him the actual immortality
    of Jesus of Nazareth

According to Middle Eastern Chronicles there were a fair number people who were attributed physical immortality by Jesus of Nazareth prior to his crucifixion and while most of those stories are apocryphal, i.e coming from too many different sources to be verifiable, the existence of Jesus of Nazareth has indeed be verified as well as the story of the Wandering Jew, aka Ahasuerus, already several centuries old and the story of Lazarus' resurrection cluing us on the origins of the Immortal Lucius Sharp claiming the identity of the original disciple of Christ.
The existence of Casca Longinus is unverifiable. In theory he may well have been Cassius Marius, aka Brother Paul, the only known Immortal centurion to have converted to Christianity, thus joining the origin story of the original Saint Longinus. Paul never spoke of his life around the time of Christ’s resurrection but if indeed he pierced the flank of Christ this could have created the conditions to his conversion to Christian religion.
The stories of John the Apostle and the Three Nephrites are to be taken with a grain of salt. All we know so far is that Jesus lives in Jerusalem and Lazarus was living in New Mexico prior to his disapperarance in 1978. The man claiming to be the Wandering Jew was killed by a disciple of his, a youngish immortal with the habit of murdering his teachers.
John the Apostle, or the man claiming to be him was met by Dyonisos the Aerropagite in Epesus circa 100 AD.
The Three Nephites met Cassandra in 33, the year of Jesus' crucifiction, they spread the word of Christ for three hundred years before their disappearance in 301 in Armenia

    Parthenia of Udyana
    Known aliases : Iphigenia, Sappho
Notable characteristics : Lesbian Immortal, in
relationship with Samira Hamid, occasional triolet

Recorded kills : None, not a player of the Game

Born : 180 BC; Indo-Greek Kingdom, region of
    Peshawar, India
First death : 160 BC Smothered by boa snake
First teacher : Xanthia of Melitus
Known associates : Samira Hamid, Xanthia of
    Melitus
    First recorded sighting : 160 BC. Indo-Greek
Kingdom. Found and mentored by Xanthia and her
    other disciple, Samira Hamid

Xanthia once told me about her lover Parthenia of Udyana during our reunion in Normandy in 950. There was her student, Amanda, a wild little hellion who was jealous of my relationship with her mistress. When I asked Xanthia if she and Amanda had an intimate relationship she answered they didn’t.That was a student/teacher relationship, akin to an older aunt and her niece. To which I retorted that “funny aunts” had existed since the dawn of mankind. Xanthia had a light laugh but swore she hadn’t been involved in any serious lesbian relationship since her days in the Punjab by the 2nd century BC. At this time she reuntied with Samira, a former disciple, and she did the mistake of accepting her as lover. When she took a new student from the Indo-Grek kingdom, the three women became involved in a risqué ménage à trois which led slowly to jealousy from the insecure Parthenia. The relationship ended badly and Xanthia took an oath to never mix romance with her work as a teacher again. The last time she heard of Parhenia she was in the Punjab when the Indo-Greek kingdom dissolved itself.

    First death : Unrecorded
    First teacher : Unrecorded
Known associates : Hassan-i-Sabah, Xanthia of
    Melitus, Prisca Negra, Sunda Kastagir
Known past associates : Selim Ubadah
First recorded sighting : 654. Mecca, Arabia
Encounter with Selim Ubadah, told him stories of
    long-gone Immortals from Mesopotamia

In 1900 Immortal Aurel Stein (the Immortal Indiana Jones) uncovered the city of Khotan, capital city of the Kingdom of Khotan, buried under centuries of sand. Stein had been inspired in his research by the writings of fellow immortal Hsien-Tsiang who had travelled through Central Asian and along the Silk Road where he was met by an ancient woman by name of Amestris.
Amestris hailed from the Kingdom of Khotan and had reinvented herself as a wife of Mahomet in the Mecca under the name of Safiya bint Ho-Yay where she met Immortal Selim Ubadah. Ubadah gave Amestris the incentive for telling fantasy stories of ancient Immortals, wizards, and adventurers, thus making her the Immortals’ immortal chronicler.
Intrigued by the stories of Hsien-Tsaiang, Stein decided to research the existence of the strange Amistris and of her city when he was sixteen years from achievign Immortality during an expedition to Central Asia.
The other source of inspiration to Stein was the work of the Swedish explorer and geographer, Sven Hedin, who had done extensive, detailed mapping of large parts of Central Asia, including the routes of the famous Silk Road. Central Asia was an area that theretofore had not been mapped in great detail.
Aurel Stein eventually found the city of Khotan through a combination of luck and observation of how the site was irrigated for centuries with water that had been redirected via canals from the nearby rivers, including the Kara-kash River. Stein's deduction was that the ruins of the city laid under the village of Hetian/ Yotkan.
During his diggings, he found tablets that described a woman of great beauty and wisdom, named Amestris, confirmign the existence of the woman and her origins as the fabled Scheherazade from the 1001 Nights, or more accurately, Schahrazad, a captive/consort of Immortal Hassan-ii-Sabah.

    Mohsen Ibn Rida-Siraj
    Known aliases : Mustafa Hakkad
Notable characteristics : Formerly a religious
fundamentalist, rejected the violence and hatred
of the Swords of Allah who branded him as traitor
    Weapon : Moorish broadsword
Recorded kills : None known, retired from the

Most recent base of operations : Mecca, Arabia
    Occupation : Islamic scholar

First death : 1578, Soldier of the Sharifs of Mecca,

First teacher : Taher Ibn Hamed Al Jaber
Known past associates : Eternal Swords of Allah,
    Darius, Hsien-Tsiang, Hamza el Kahir
First recorded sighting : 1578. Saudi Arabia
Disciple of Taher ibn Hamed and Jamal Laboudni

Mohsen Ibn Rida-Siraj deserted the Swords of Allah in 1643 but Jamal Labouni accepted no desertion and hunted down the Islamic scholar during the capture of Mecca by the Saudi state and though his final fate is unknown, it does not look good to the observant Watcher who studied the chronicles of Labdouni and his cohorts. Mohsen studied the Quran under Hamza el Kahir, the words of Christ under Darius, Buddhism under Hsien-Tsiang and the Talmud with Avram Mordecai to reach the conclusion that God exist udner diverse shapes and that there are thousands of ways to love Allah (or Christ, or Buddha) and that hatred isn’t the answer to the existence of Christians in MiddleEast. Only tolerance and acceptance of other people’s customs and religious beliefs. As far as the Game was concerned, Mohsen avoided it and found the strenght to forgive Xavier St. Cloud for the death of Hamza, taught forgiveness by Darius.
The man of war who wreaked havok with the Swords of Allah disappeared decades before the Watchers lost his trace and it is our hope that he still lives out there, or at least that he had a peaceful life in the last two hundred years.

    First teacher : Cassandra
Known past associates : Cassandra; Odysseus,
    taught him how to get past Scylla and Charybdis;
First recorded sighting : 12th Century BC, Boeotia,
Greece. Disciple of Casandra, according to
    Ancient Greece chronicles

Truly an odd character that one, a once-hermaphrodite who grew old with time and only reached his immortality nearlty the end of his mortal life on Earth. Mentored by Cassandra who taught the use of the voice to help and elederly infirm to survive in the Game, which he did for at least five hundred years before disapearing in the 8th century BC. He had seldom contazcts with Immortals, first with Cassandra, later with the fabled Odysseus, then with Methos and his student Ekaterini; he was rumored to have fooled the Kurgan himself, using the giant’s boorishness against himself and to have bedded Kellistra herself – however unlikely that is. The Lady of Lesbos once mentoned him as a charming companion and a perfect match to her ageing physique.

wrong end of Selim Ubadah’s saber
    First teacher : Paul Karros
Known past associates : Paul Karros
    Known ennemies : Selim Ubadah
First recorded sighting : 725. Upper Egypt
In conflict against battalion led by Selim Ubadah,
    later mentored by Paul Karros

Finally extensive search in the chronicles of Paul Karros have allowed to identify him at the teacher of Immortal Nader Salam in 725 as well as the unidentified Immortal who got in a fight with Selim Ubadah in 725 in Egypt. Paul Karros was leading a revolution as he always did, this time leading rebellion of Copts (Christian Egyptians) against opressive taxation by Arab rulers. Nader Salam became his disciple and went missing two hundred years later when he was leading a peasant rebellion against the Fatimids who ruled Egypt I nthe 10th century. Where Karros led revolutions for the sake of warrign against opressors, Nader was more idealistic, wantign the happiness of his people and dreamng for the day all opression would cease in Egypt. A hopeless dream, but still he fought on bravely : against the Arabs, the Fatimids but also against aggressive players of the Game coming after his head. If he is still active to this day, there is no doubt he is a fervent militant for the right of opressed Copts in Egypt and that he participated in the 2011 Arab Spring.

Known past associates : Yuenü, Yau Chouan
    Chou
First recorded sighting : 360 BC Southern China
With foster mother Yuenü, sought tutoring from
Yau Chouan Chou, later seduced the ancient
Immortal, or was seduced by him (the Watchers
    aren’t sure)

I would like to make matters clear where the chronicle of Yau Chouan Chou is concerned: he wasn’t the mysoginist one would pretend him to be, rather a man from his time who had a hard time beliving women could be the equals of women on the field of battle. And yet, he was always proven wrong with the likes of Mei-Li Choe or May-Ling She, his last known student. Mei-li was the mistress of kung-fu of the 5th century BC in China and she is the one who taught her art to Master Yau who later passed those skills on May-Ling Shen who herself gave a lesson in humility to the boorish Highlander called Duncan MacLeod.
I knew Mei-li and believe me this woman was a kicker ! I even saw her best techniques used in combat by Golden Swallow in the Shaw Brothers productions. And oddly enough, the Godlen Swallow was herself azn Immortal. Life has an odd way of moving in circles.

saved her head when she faced Ari al-Muzaiyin

I remember racing against Irene at the time of the earthquake, I bet her fifty gold coins that I would win on the fourth and she agreed o it because she liked placing bets. To her, playing the Game already was placing a bet so she didn’t mind the gold coins. It’s not like a Quickening was going to be lost.
The crowd cheered as we ran around the colyseum and then the ground started moving, thousands of people screamed and I don’t remember quite clearly what happed, I know we ran for safety while everything started crumbling. We must have been trampled in the stampede. I was dug up from a pile of rubbles, called miraculous because I survived unscathed. I looked after Irene but could find no trace of her. I am sure she survived the earthquake, at least I belive so because if she had lost her head, I would have received her Quickening and I would feel her presence in me. I she is out there somwhere, I hope we can resume our race. I wonder how many gold coins she would ask this time.

    Athens

I am the fly on the wall who gave the incentive to King Cyrus to constitute his army of immortal warriors, a cadre of powerful combatants instantly replaced after one falls on the field of battle, naming them immortals was a joke from my part. Interestingly enough, history kept my joke for historians to record as a fact of life. Oh I knew King Cyrus well, I knew many kings and emperors and always reminded them they were all naked under their clothing and needed good protection. The actual immortal who led the battalion was another disciple of mine, Pantea Artheshbod and she also put her mark on the history of mankind. I even wrote a page on the net dedicated to her (not on wiki, though, too amateurish to my tastes). Pantea taught to King Cyrus to respect the customs and religions of the lands he
conquered which taught him to better centralize the power he held on the countries he he had a hold on, and also to respect women ! Well recognized for his achievements in human rights, politics, and military strategy, as well as his influence on both Eastern and Western civilizations according to the wiki page, ha ! He has to thank Cleophon of Athens and myself for that, we taught him well.
A hot-blooded woman Pantea, a woman who flexes her brain as much as her muscles. Gone missing in the 7th century and I hope still active. I miss hour training sessions and the perfume on her body on morning.

Unlike Barsine of Asaak, Pantea Arteshbod’s other disciple, Melania of Traxiane ever hid her feminity, she never had to. She was self-conscious, aware of her mesmerizing beauty and the effect it could have on men. She knew the way to a man’s heart (or head) can be though his sexuality and she used every advantage she had to win in male affairs, in mortality or in Immortality. She won a lot of battles and stayed as beautiful and proud as she was upon her First Death when an arrow pierced her heart in 140 BC. She met defeat agaisnt one man, Immortal, in 651, when Selim Ubadah proved smarter and more in control than most Immortal men and won her heart, taking her to his bed. He was the one she respected and who learnt to respect her as a woman and fellow warrior. A virgin with the oath of only giving herself to an Immortal man able to conquer her, Melania willingly gave herself to Selim that night and when daw came… Selim was alone, a peace of his heart gone with Melania.

Stabbed to death by Normand soldier, rescued
from beheading by Seraphina, at this time
repelling Norman invasion with Deoneces & Kyra

She was called the bear woman by her men, because of her switching moods and the way she ferociously defended her cubs, a tribe of foster children born in the 14th century who followed her everywhere and whom she trained as spies, saboteurs and assassins infiltrating ennemies lines in warfare. She was even thought to have been a past identity of legendary Kellistra because of her former alias of Kallistrate and the fact Kellistra once called herself Ursual Katz, seemingly a dead giveaway. However, Kallisto was found to have been born in the Nicopolis Theme of the 12th century and was identified as a past disciple of Seraphina of Rome. So much for the Kellistra/Kallisto theory. Kallisto disappeared during the Byzantine civil war of 1357 with her children and was never heard from again.

Another great group of chronicles. my friend. I really enjoyed the update on Rhiannon Teague and Frances Drummond reflecting on their time in the SOE. Especially poignant since i just recently watched a program on the wartime activities of the SOE! Lol

As for the Sacred Order; all the Masters, the Archivist and the Overseer of the Scriptorium will be new Immortals. However, I've been considering that the Pathfinders and Sentinels could be missing Immortals recruited into the Order and converted to their noble cause.

Could you help by suggesting six Immortals from the missing roster?

The Pathfinders will be peace-loving Immortals whose job would be to seek out ancient scrolls, manuscripts and artefacts, recovering them from archaeological sites, from thieves or old ruins.

The Sentinels will be Immortal warriors given a new purpose; protecting their assigned Pathfinder. They will avoid contact with other Immortals where possible, fighting only in defence of themselves or their Pathfinder.

These Immortals would have been recruited before or during the Middle Ages.

    Cheers

I count fifteen Immortals in total. Are all of them brand new Immortals or missing Immortals pre-existing in the chronicles ?

The love that daren’t say its name, i.e homosexuality, was frowned upon in the Midle Ages, viewed as a social deviancy, but not yet punished with death and torture as it would be in later centuries. Culberth of Winchester and Hadley of Newcastle posed as to knights and companions, hiding their relationship in plain sight and played the Game with the same vigor they had when demonstrating their love to each other. The Great Famine of England struck between 1315 and 1318, killing thousands, chaos reigned everywhere and amidst the chaos, Culberth and Hadley survived as their could and they were hungry for food, sustenance and especially sustenance of the Immortal kind. Sir Korvin of England was their chosen quarry, an easy picking they thought, one whose Quickening they could share. Unfortunately, the short-sized knight in black armor, with a scar bisecting his face, proved too strong for them and both men fell to the ground in minutes.
They foolishly challenged a thousands years ofl Immortal once calling himself Kronos, leader of the Four Hosemen of the Apocalypse, a man fit for medieval times when death, persilence, war and famine reigned. Culberh and Hadley are barely remembered by their own kind and are now a footnote in the Watcher Chronicles for Medieval England.

    Rhiannon Teague
    UPDATE

Each year at the same date,Rhiannon Teague commemorated the anniversary of the Special Operations Executive organisation which fought Nazis durign WWII, reuniting with her teacher Frances Drummond and the survivors of the organisation, agein men and women, well aware of Frances and Rhiannon Immortality. Themselves professionals prone to bear secrets, “the Baker Street Irregulars” never betrayed their two friends’ secret to anyone and congregated in London, drinking to past friends such as Noor Inyat Khan who died in Dachau in 1944 and was the first WWII Muslim heroine or Violette Szabo who died in Ravensbrück in 1945, remembering the time when they were heroes.
While not a player of the Game like Frances, Rhinannon has been doing very well on the Immortal scene and keeps her sword sharp and her eyes on the lookout for any Immortal threatening the British kingdom. Or is it the survivor’s complex and the nightmares plaguing her which keep her going ? Because she cannot forget her mortal friends who died in the service of freedom and because she swore on the deathbed of former SOE operative Odette Hallowes in 1995 to keep on fighting tyranny in all its shapes.

Before killing Selma Kojic in 1571, a woman who yearned pemanent death, Kismet Necdet fought and killed Zamphyra of Lazica in 1527, a woman who was the opposite of Selma : she had a positive outlook on Immortality, she was a woman freed from the horros of botched childbirth, indentured servitude in the bonds of marriage, didn’t have to anwer anybody but herself and was free to go where she pleased for however log she kept her head on her shoulders. For one thousand years she thrived in the Game, killed when forced to but enjoying the fight and the power of the Quickening. Seraphina taught her to be strong and to face whatever challenge she would meet and God knows she faced many. As a matter of fact, she faced more rough seas than calm ones in a manner of speaking, but she accepted it as part of Immortal life, a better fate than most mortal women who died before reaching twenty of age. Speaking of fate, Kismet whose name means fate, came to her during the Croatian-Ottoman 100-year war and she enthusiastically accepted his challenge.Kismet knew he was facing oen of the bravest, fiercest warrior women fo the Balkans and to him, it was an honor to kill or be killed by her. He gave her the fight she deserved, full of honor, bravado and righteousness. In the ned, Kismet prevailed and took her head. Her body was left on the battlefield, to be buried with due honors by her comrades in arms who saluted the passing of their own Gothic half-goddess who protected them from the Ottomans.

Found and mentored by Ahmet Dede who taught
her the Quran and converted her to Islam

Selma Kojic inflicted those scars on herself, to feel something after all the years of rape and incest she suffered at the hands of her father and three brothers, her own mother silencing her and keeping the secret within their family in the Kingdom of Bosnia.
Then the Ottomans conquered Bosnia and put Selma’s village to the sword after raping the girls and women, including Selma. Selma didn’t care about being raped and the Ottoman sword that sliced her throat seemed like a merciful release from years of pain.
When she woke up, surrounded by death, she felt apalled that death didn’t take her so she left her village, now charred ruins, in search for death, killing herself time and time again until she met up with Ahmet Dede, an Ottoman Immortal who taught her the secret of her new existence. For once, here was a man who didn’t try to molest her, but it took time for her to trust him. She accepted his lessons and when she felt she had learnt enough, left her teacher, in search for Immortal men (especially molesters) to kill. The Game gave a meaning to her life and soon her reputation as a neveraging killer of Ottoman soldiers crossed the borders of Bosnia and reached the ears of Immortal Kismet Necdet, a hunter of powerful Immortal women.
Necdet hunted her down and found her. War and the Game were what gave meaning to Selma’s immortality, hunting Immortals was what gave meaning to Necdet’s life. Selma coveted the sword with its name on it and Necdet was the one who, finally after nearly three hundred years of challenges, gave her oblivion and eternal peace.

At the Battle of the Pyramids during Napoleon Egypt campaign, the Corsican Ogre exhorted his troops, saying, "Forward! Remember that from those monuments yonder 40 centuries look down upon you." Seraphina, nearly 2.000 years old and a former gladiatrix in Rome, heard him well as did her protegé, pre-Immortal François Marchette who wouldn't reach his Immortality before the Campaign of Russia in 1812. Seraphina fought well at the Pyramids and faced an Immortal enlisted among the Mamelukes of the Ottoman Empires, warrior-woman Mihrimah Pamuk whom Seraphina felt she awas a kindred spirit, a soul sister she was forced to face as her ennemy. The Roman's gladiatorial skills prevailed but she chose to spare her opponent, and not just because there were mortals nearby : she hoped for a more friendly reunion someday, one where they wouldn't face the world as ennemies but as comrades... friends or maybe more.
It doesn't read as very professional or Game-like from Seraphina's part, but this is a woman driven as much by sexual needs and wish for companionship than she is driven by Immortals' motto, There Can Be Only One.

First recorded sighting : N.A. Mentioned in the
12th Century BC Chronicles as a disciple of
Esarhaddon, possibly killed by the Four Hosemen

Zananzash body was found beheaded by his Watcher, evidences of a Quickening all around with his cannabis fields burnt to the grounds by the powerful Quickening signalling his passing. Several suspects come to mind like Silas and Shamsi-Adad of Assyria, but we have no concluqsive proof they ever challenged Zanazash. The neo-Hittite Immortal was the first drug-dealer/pusher of the Immortal world, prescibing recreative drugs to Immortals in need of means to sustain the courage and passion they needed in the Game. Even virtous Aganesthos of Tiryns wasn’t above asking “special medication” from him. Zananzash made several ennemies, like Rebecca and Achilles of Troy who hated seeing past friends and allies poison themselves with magic mushrooms and opium sold by the Hittite Immortal, so it is likely a benevolent Immortal decided to dish out justice to bring equilibrium to the Game.
The Quickening which destroyed Zananzash’s fields was a favor to the Immortals community. Unfortunately, Immortals and mortals learnt from him over the centuries and his legacy spread over the world, poisoning today’s youth.

Thanks, Gardner. Glad you liked it. We now have backgrounds for all the Hellfire Club members to match that of the SIS.

I now have a new project i'm working on about a secret group of Immortals who have shunned the Game for thousands of years. They live on Holy Ground and avoid the company of other Immortals. They are led by an ancient Egyptian Immortal, a former student of Inyotef, a scholar and philosopher who founded the Immortal Order of the Sacred Knowledge. The Sacred Order for short.

They are dedicated to collecting and preserving the Lost Knowledge of Mankind, holding it until they deem mankind is ready and worthy enough for its secrets to be made known. A select group of mortals are chosen each generation to live and work within the walls of the Sacred Temple of Knowledge. Scrolls and manuscripts believed lost for thousands of years were actually rescued and preserved by the Order.

The Watchers have suspected its existence for centuries but until now have never been able to prove it exists or to infiltrate its ranks. Until now.

Twenty years ago, Joe Dawson tasked two young, dedicated Watchers to scour the world in search of clues to the Order's location and to discover all they could about the Immortals within its ranks. He lost contact with them after a year and never heard from them again.

Twenty years later, one of the Watchers returns to Dawson with an astonishing story of an Order with knowledge and power enough to send shockwaves around the world, but with a code of honour and a dedication to preserving the secrets of the ancients that outstrips all other Immortals in the Chronicles.

Here is a breakdown of the Order's ranks, i'm working on the chronicles of the Immortals that hold these positions:

    - Grand Master of the Books (formerly High Keeper of the Tablets): one of Inyotef's students, the Order's founder.

    - Master of the Black Books (formerly Keeper of the Black Tablets; the secret knowledge of dead civilisations, witchcraft and sorcery)

    - Master of the Books of Egypt (inc all of Africa)

    - Master of the Books of Anatolia (inc the Middle East & Central Asia)

    - Master of the Books of the East (inc China, Japan and Asia)

    - Master of the Books of Rome (inc all of Europe)

    - Master of the Books of the Americas (inc North, Central & South America)

These seven Immortals have given up their birth names and adopted the names of seven famous mortal librarians:

Demetrius, Zenodotus, Eratosthenes, Apollonius, Aristophanes, Aristarchus and Callimachus.

Additionally there are several other positions in the Immortal ranks of the Order:

    - Overseer of the Scriptorium

    - Chief Archivist

    - Pathfinder: rescuing or locating ancient books and scrolls (there are three Immortal Pathfinders in the Order)

    - Sentinels: they protect the Pathfinders, the only Immortals in the Order to wield swords. They only fight to defend themselves or the Pathfinder they are assigned to (like the Pathfinders there are only three Sentinels)

That's it for now. I hope this whets your appetite. I'll post the first chronicles soon and begin this new project.

    Cheers

First recorded sighting: 1788, Finchley Common,
outskirts of London. Shot by Evangeline Black,
mentored by her and recruited into the Hellfire Club

Recruited into the Hellfire Club in 1788 by Evangeline Black after he tried to rob her and was then killed to activate his immortality, Seth Parker was the Club's original Black Knight until he mentored Dominic Piper following the Bristol Riots of 1831. The ambitious Piper soon grew tired of being the Club's assassin and enforcer, coveting a more prominent position in its ranks. So at a warehouse at Cotton's Wharf on Tooley Street, London, 1861, Piper seized his moment, catching his mentor unawares and decapitating him. Fleeing the fire caused by the Quickening, Piper claimed the position of Black Knight from Aldrich Monk who, grudgingly, acquiesced, although Black Queen Evangeline Black, Parker's former teacher, remains to this day wary of the devious Dominic Piper.

Wook Bok-Soon uncovered Violet Song in the army of South Korea, the two women duked it out like two she-cats in heat, sword against saber, fighting like furies for the favors of an alley cat. This time Woo defeated her lifelong opponent and as usual since the 1930's, both women hopped in the sack and went at it like two furies in heat. Woo Bok-Soon and Violent Song have been on opposite sides of Korea's history but that never prevented them from loving each other ardently as if there were no tomorrows. It seems the recent threat of nuclear armagueddon from North Korea renewed the two women's passion for each other and this time, maybe, Violet could forsake her country for good and stay in South Korea with her lover.

    Sang Yum

Sang Yum whose name means “Secret Mother” has been rumored to have founded a secret lamassery crammed with Immortal women, a place of worship she called Shangri-La, hiddne within the mountaisn of Tibet. Shangri-La was never found but it is a tenacious urban legend of the Immortal world, akin to the legend of Methos before he was proven living and hiding among us Watchers. Methos has been conclusively proven as a past acquaintence/lover or mentor of Sang Yum in the 19th century under his persona of Dr. Benjamin Adams and there is a strong possibility they first met in the 5th century BC when Methos was a disciple of Sun Tzu in ancient China. In 1996, San Yum moved out of Tibet to the Tibetan community of New-York in America and stayed there for ten years before returning to her homeland. She is busy with the monastery of Khor-Biyong , a place were several Immortal women sojourned, away from the perils of the Game. She built her own safe haven from the Game in her small corner of the world until the Gathering comes.

Najia El Khalej faced a fierce Jewish fighter named Sobel Har-Zahav who organised a well-armed resistance against the Ottomans within the walls of Jerusalem. Had she stayed wihin these walls, she would have been safe from the sword of Najia who lured her outside end challenged her to a fight; Sobel was a good sword in the Game but Najia never played fair and took her out with the assistance of her own mentor Melik Tanju.
Egyptian rule was challenged in 1834 by a countrywide popular uprising against conscription, the legacy left by Sobel who inspired her people's will to free themwelves from Ottoman Egypt's rule.

There wasn’t much of a hero left in that shell of a man who finally was found beheaded one morning, burnt grass and cattle killed by lightnings all around him. Obviously an Immortal had proven stronger than he was, unless this was a friend or relative of one the people Miguez killed in a fit of uncontrolled rage. Alcohol, lack of self-control and loneliness are the tree factors which provoked the llanero’s downfall.

The elusive Maria Rosa who led the Contestado War of 1912-1916 in Brazil and has been missing for the past century has been conclusively identified as Manuela Simoes, a Portugal-faring lady in waiting who fled an abusive home in Braga where she was the clandestine “mistress” of her foster father. Once adopted at the eight of five, she was constantly abused since the age of six to sixteen until she finally stabbed her father to death and ran away from home to live on the streets as a whore before Immortal Vasco Balboa rescued her from a life of misery. Vasco sensed the pre-immortal in her diminutive frame and recuited her in the Portuguese Civil War of 1828 during which she met her First Death. Vasco and Manuela left Portugal for Colonuial Brazil where they were last seen before disapearing in 1838 in the jungles, following an exploration party. Vasco re-appeared in Bogota, Colombia in 1864 where he was killed by Immortal Escobar Gallego, his companion wasn’t seen with him and was presumed dead. One never should presume an Immortal dead before seeing his or her body. Manuela was active, alive and well in Brazil where she killed a local sexual predator, Miguel de Boaventura before diseappearign again in 1916.

    Carolyn Mortimer

In 1805, Carolyn Mortimer and her husband where arrested by Napoleon’s secret police and sentenced to death by the guillotine for aiding and abbetting the escape of aristocrats from France and for conspiring against the Emperor, the latter charge was false. It took the combined ruse of Darius and Sean Burns to free the couple from their prison and to send them to safety to London where they lived until Carolyn’s husband natural death. In 1904, Carolyn worked for Sean Burns as his secretary, assistant and dsiciple in the study of psychology and of Sigmund Freud theories on how mankind’s behavior is pre-determined by his emerging sexuality.
One century later, upon Sean Burns’s death by the blade of Duncan MacLeod, Carolyn took the reigns of the Black Friars asylum and is trying her best to ease the sufferings of mental patients under her care, mortals or of the Immortal kind. To her, healing the sick of mind isn’t just about giving pills and locking them away from society: it is also about reaching out to them, listening to them and talking with them She has done wonders so far. But can she truly help the more unstable Immortals locked in Black Friars, I sincerely doubt it. She better beware : she survived one breakout in 2014, next time she may not be so lucky.

Thanks for the latest updates, my friend. Once again, great work, especially the two Scottish sisters.

Meanwhile, the next two updates to the Hellfire Club Immortals:

    Theobald Cleaver

Known aliases: Thomas Folville (birth name)

    Born: 1299, Charnwood, Leicestershire,
    England
First death: 1341; With the Folville Gang, led by his
adopted brother, Richard, cornered and executed in
Teigh, Rutland, by Sir Robert Coalville.
    First teacher: Aldrich Monk

First recorded sighting: 1341, Teigh, East Midlands, England.
Rescued from the executioner's block by Aldrich Monk and
    inducted into the Brimstone Brotherhood.

The adopted brother of the Rev. Richard Folville, and Eustace, Robert, and Walter Folville, he was one of the fifty mercenaries of the Folville Gang who had ambushed and killed the corrupt Baron of the Exchequer, Sir Roger de Belar, who had made threats of violence to Eustace Folville, his family and neighbours, in January 1326. An arrest warrant was issued to apprehend those involved in the murder. Although the warrants were later withdrawn, the Folvilles were years later the victims of retribution in 1341 from Sir Robert Coalville and his men, and Thomas was the only one to walk away, joining the Immortal Brimstone Brotherhood led by Aldrich Monk, eventually changing his name to Theobald Cleaver and becoming its White Bishop.

From the Chronicle of the Hellfire Club

    Serena Harper

Known aliases: Sadie Cropper (birth name), Lady Eleanor
    Creacy

Prior occupations: Socialite & black widow, pickpocket,
    street urchin

    Born: 1705, Maidstone, Kent, England
First death: 1731; Stabbed by master thief defending a
young boy pickpocket he was beating for failing to steal
    enough valuables
    First teacher: Aldrich Monk

First recorded sighting: 1736, London, England.
While posing as the Lady Eleanor Creacy, attempts to
seduce Aldrich Monk. Amused, he reveals her true nature
and recruits her into the Hellfire Club

Recruited off the streets of Maidstone by a master thief to join his band of child pickpockets, Sadie Cropper demonstrated a talent for sleight-of-hand and quickly rose through the ranks to become his right-hand-woman. She grew an affinity for the youngsters in the gang and when one young boy returned with a less than usual take, he faced the wrath of their master who began beating him with a cane. She stepped in and was stabbed in a fit of rage, dying her First Death, and was dumped in an alley.
She recovered, unaware of her immortality, returned to the ramshackle hideout and beat her former master to death with his own cane.
Over the next five years she nurtured her gift for mimicry and carved out a living exploiting her femininity to seduce her way into high society, marrying rich landowners and then arranging "accidents" before moving on to her next rich husband. In 1736, she crossed paths with Aldrich Monk and met her match. He soon apprised her of her true nature and recruited her into the Hellfire Club, from where she changed her name to Serena Harper and became its White Rook.

    Bouchra Ouaziz

The Fantasia events celebrate North African tradition of a close relationship with masculinity, horses and warfare, they are headed by Immortal Bouchra Ouaziz, a centuries old woman who was taught the ways of the Game by an European Immortal named Anne DeBrabant. Bouchra earned the respect of Kassim ibn Sallis and dozens of male Immortals who didn’t believe she would outlive the 16ht cvnetury, yet she did.
A lot of Immortals underestimated her, believing her an easy mark, even Hazeem al Bachrim admired her prowesses with the sword and spared her pretty head where cold-hearted killer Xavier St. Cloud defeated her, raped her before contemptuously sparing her head. The problem with rape is it cannot be healed like so much flesh wound and for centuries Bouchra sought to redeem her hono,r until 1994 when Duncan MacLeod killed her ennemy, allowing her to lay her ghosts to rest.

    Typhoid Mary

Black Annie of Strathclyde, aka Typhoid Mary, has been conclusively identified as a former disciple of Kronos as Sir Korvin of England was identified as a past identity of the Four Horsemen leader. It was an interesting theory to imagine Mary the typhoid carrier as a student of Kronos, alleged bringer of the Black Plague to Europe in the 14th century.
Typhoid Mary has been using her particular gift as a professional killer, using her single touch to murder her quarries and in the Game she has been using poisoned throwing daggers to umbalance her opponents before the final kill. A most dangerous woman living in a dangerous world and who has been forced to adapt herself to circumstances like Felicia Martins or Kistin Gilles before her.

Estever happily obliged, for once not having to fight for his miserable prize : the Quickening of a good woman who had spent too many centuries in the valley of the shadows.
Argentina felt safe heaven for her, for a time, but six hundred years took their toll on her and her children where almost men and women by now, ready to live their own lives, to get married and make families of their own. They didn't need her anymore.
Mea kneeled gracefuilly and didn't wait long to be sent to the afterlife. Her husband mourned and re-married, her two sons and three daughters mourned and lived however long they had on Earth and didn't turn out to be pre-Immortals, as we once suspected.

Some sisters are simply born to hate each other, case in point Scathag of Skye and Aoife of Alba, two women linked by birth and by a bitter hatred that lasted eleven hundred years. This because of their love for legendary hero Cuchulain of Muirthemne who couldn't choose between the two women and had to love both. Unfortunately, none of the two sisters could share Cuchulain and the once friendly rivalry grew to staunch hatred. And as fate will have it, their love for another Irish hero, Ailell of Kells, fueled this particular hatred in the ninth century and had not Ailell interfered in the Game, the two sisters would no doubt have killed each other.
Missing since the 12th century, historians theorize they still live, driven by anger and lust for men; each time they consort, robbing each other's sexual partner in a twisted game unles it be simply to pester each other endlessly.

    Nicholas Kedgick

Known aliases: Nicolas Emory (birth name)

Born: 1188, Westminster, Kingdom of England
First death: 1222; Gang leader hanged as a ring-leader
following riots after London defeats Westminster in an
    annual wrestling contest
    First teacher: Aldrich Monk

    First recorded sighting: 1222, Westminster.
Dug from unmarked grave by Monk and recruited
    into his Brotherhood

By the 1220s, Aldrich Monk and Evangeline Black had grudgingly agreed to work together with Sampson Brass and his protégé Honoria Dedlock as the Brimstone Brotherhood to establish their own underground empire. At the time Monk mentored Emory, aka Nicholas Kedgick, into the Brotherhood, the organisation was already running a rigged gambling operation in many towns and cities in England, while Monk ran the Brotherhood from a hidden base in London under the alias of The Sparrow to avoid the attentions of Richeard of Mercia and his cohorts.

Jinny Dall thought she’d get her revenge when she confronted Kanwulf in Leverburgh, four hundred years after he raped her and left her broken in the outer hebrides. This is a strong woman who prepared herself to face her tormentor and trained like crazy to finally face him. Unfortunately, her demons drover her mad and when finally it was time to face her own private demon in the flesh, her resolve faltered. She saw the once proud viking plunderer reduced to a hollow shell of the man, a madman looking for his treasured axe. But Kanwulf is like Jinny Dall, he never forget to tie up loose ends and when he saw how the apt fighter Jinny Dall was, he picked his sword and gave her the fight she wanted.
Sometimes, you must be careful what you wish for : you may get it and also get a sword through your neck.

Thanks for posting these chronicles, my friend. Once again, greatly appreciated. I liked the Swiss Immortal's story.

Unfortunately, i'm not on Facebook or any social media. I like to keep my personal details off-line. Had a bad experience a few years back because of personal details i had online and I've been private ever since. You're more than welcome to post all of the SIS details over there if you wish with my full blessing.

Meantime, i'm working on filling in the details of the other Hellfire Club members, which i'll post soon.

Apollo, I have been posting the past stories on the Highlander Imagine page on Facebook. People are getting curious about the SIS, but before I am posting anything, would you like to join us ? We are a very friendly lot. I don't know if you have heard about the Highlander Imagine Series.

The creative forums are dead here, Imagine is full of life. I suggest we move out of here permanently, unless you like your anonimity.

The Hauser chronicles remainsd mostly unchanged, here is the Swiss Immortal.

    Leading attacks on SIS Immortals

18 August 1559: Pope John Paul IV dies aged 83 of "natural causes." The Watchers at the time identified Eadwulf and Raimond d'Amboise at large in Rome at the time. Eadwulf once studied with herbalists in the Middle Ages and is known to be an expert in several lethal toxins which leave no trace. We have long suspected the Society arranged the Pope's demise as revenge for his involvement in several plots to remove or kill Elizabeth I.

Three hundred years later, in 1848 after the Swiss Guards temporarily disbanded when Pope Pius IX fled to Gaetia, Raymond d'Amboise and Eadwulf were kidnapped and tortured by an ancient Swiss Immortal who was bodyguard of the Pope and wanted revenge for what he considered to be an evil deed from the SIS. Keeping them hostages, he called for the entire SIS to surrender to him, or Eadwulf and Raymond who surely die. When they didn't respond he organized separate attacks on Richeard of Mercia, Allegra Chambers, Helen Bondeville with mercenaries armed with muskets and finally got his wish when he was confronted by Richeard in person while Allegra and Helen freed their friends. The ancient swiss guard was taken out by Richeard of Mercia himself and thus a lesson was leant : to always stay on their guard where past deeds were concerned. The pasdt can always come back to haunt you.

The Hauser twins are nearly unique in the Immortal community. They are inseperable, dress exactly alike (lately they have taken to wearing identical black trench coats and wrap-around shades) and when they speak, they finish each other's sentences. Their symbiotic relationship extends to sharing Quickenings.
They take turns fighting other Immortals, one brother hanging back ready to receive the Quickening and both seem to benefit from the power received. The only time they were both forced to fight at the same time was in Florence in 1537 when they encountered Deoneces and Kyra of Sparta. Both brothers were no match for the two Spartans and barely escaped with their lives.
Now they have set up shop in Boston and hiring their services out to various terrorist groups while scouring the Northeastern seaboard for other Immortals.

Deoneces finally appears to have found a purpose. The dark, brooding loner has gone and has been replaced by a determined, focused warrior with a new cause and a sense of justice, Spartan style. After spending the first two centuries of his immortal life wracked with guilt over surviving the heroic last stand that saw the end of his life as one of the Spartan elite, he then spent the next couple of centuries taking out his anger on the Persians, who he blamed for everything.
Although nothing has been proven in Watcher records from the period, Deoneces's Watcher at the time suspected his involvement in the suspicious death of Philip of Macedon and the subsequent elevation of Alexander to King, owing to Deoneces's apparent close friendship with Alexander's mother, Olympia. The fact he then followed Alexander on his conquest of Persia as one of the young king's must trusted officers do nothing to allay those suspicions.
Alexander's death saw Deoneces abandon the mediterannean and North Africa altogether and head east, where he spent the next four centuries honing his skills, learning from the great masters, still brooding, and carving out a reputation as one of the most fearsome players of the Game. He took heads from India to the furthest reaches of China and Indonesia.

Deoneces of Sparta is among the most powerful Immortals still walking the Earth and one of the oldest. A fearsome warrior, merciless to his enemies, and protective to those he loves and trusts, Deoneces has become a legendary figure in the Immortal community. Some of the most feared and evil Immortals in history have fallen to his sword; the Kurgan, Kane, Kronos...
And dozens of others have fled rather than fight him, his name and reputation alone instilling fear in those who operate in the murky waters of the Immortal world.

But then Deoneces was born a warrior in a warrior society, his childhood forged in the brutal world of the Agoge, where the Spartan state trained him as a living weapon (Watcher historians are still trying to ascertain whether he was a member of the brutal and shadowy Cripteia, the Spartan secret society that was known for dealing out savage justice to Sparta's helot population).

In 480 BC, the Persian Empire invaded Greece and Sparta joined Athens in its defense. Deoneces was one of the three hundred warriors of King Leonidas' personal bodyguard who fought and died alongside the Thespians at the pass of Thermopylae.

When he came to, the elusive Methos was standing over him. Methos told Deoneces all about immortality and the Game, but the two men did not get along. Deoneces was a warrior who thrived on the thrill of the battle, while Methos counseled caution and "living to grow strong." To Deoneces, Methos was a coward and a poor warrior. If the Spartan had known at the time that Methos was once one of the Four Horsemen, would he have tried to kill him? Two thousand years later, Deoneces discovered the truth, but time had passed and people change. Still, in those early days, Deoneces walked away from Methos in disgust, unwilling to be the student of a man he considered dishonourable.

In 478 BC, Deoneces met Cleophon of Athens in Thebes. Their first encounter was a violent one, the Spartan challenged his Athenian blood enemy to a fight, but he lost and ended on his knees with Cleophon's sword at his throat. But Cleophon spared the new Immortal and the Spartan, beaten by a worthy foe, apprenticed himself to the Athenian, becoming his fiercest and most loyal acolyte.

When Deoneces and Cleophon joined the court of King Philip of Macedon, becoming tutors to his son Alexander, Deoneces met Kyra for the first time. A student of Aegelaus, a friend of Cleophon, she was personal bodyguard to Queen Olympius. There was an instant attraction between the two Spartans. Deoneces, as well as being a warrior, has a healthy appetite for women, especially Immortal women, but Kyra became, and would remain, to this day, something more. They fell into bed together that first night and have been on/off lovers for over two thousand years. They have had mortal lovers, and Immortal lovers, but the bond between the two Spartans is unbreakable.

The two have fought side by side down through the centuries, defending Greece from her enemies and joining Achilles of Troy's crusade against the infamous Menmet-Ra and his Zodiac Brotherhood. To Deoneces and Kyra, war and sex goes hand in hand; they fight and kill on the battlefield and then celebrate their survival in the carnal desires of the flesh.
Over the centuries, a number of renowned female Immortals have become part of the Spartan's "harem," women who Deoneces considers to be under his protection, and who often share his bed: Seraphina of Rome and her teacher, Katherine of Samothrace, and Frances Drummond.
Deoneces' appetite for women is offset by his fearsome reputation for hunting and killing the psychopaths of the Immortal community, his skill with a sword is almost unmatched. He is decisive when dealing out justice and protecting those who cannot protect themselves, merciless to those who prey on the weak. His reputation as the dark angel of the Immortal community is well deserved.

From the Chronicle of Deoneces of Sparta
    Derek Thurston, 2010

AD 210 - 218: Deoneces of Sparta, as Damasos of Colchis, serves as a Greek officer in the Roman army; a tribune in the auxillia, the Cohortes Equitatae, recruited from the peregrini (non-citizens) of Rome, on the Gallic borders of the empire.

AD 219: Deoneces of Sparta owns a villa in the coastal town of Ostia, which he shares with his long-time on again/off again lover, Kyra. Katherine of Samothrace, re-united with her student, Seraphina, joins them. The three Immortal women, sharing the home of the Spartan, as well as his bed, cause a stir among the patrician classes of the city by openly boasting of their nocturnal exploits, at the city baths. The quartet travel often to Rome, where Deoneces also has a home, to conduct business, and host parties that scandalise the city as the three wonen shamelessly flaunt their relationship with the Spartan.

AD 222: Roman emperor Heliogabalus is murdered by the Praetorian guard, among them Immortal Lucius Oranius Capito, and is succeeded by his 14-year-old cousin and adopted son Marcus Aurelius Severus Alexander.

AD 223: Among a group of army veterans seeking revenge for the murder of the previous emperor, Deoneces travels to Rome and confronts Lucius Oranius Capito, tribune of the Praetorian guard. Deoneces fights and defeats Capito, but other Praetorians attack Deoneces, allowing Capito to escape and flee Rome.

AD 225: Deoneces, Kyra, Katherine and Seraphina host a legendary party at their villa in Ostia that lasts for 24 days and nights. Much of what went on is the stuff of rumour and speculation, but such important figures as the consuls Fucius and Domitius, and Sallustia Oribias, wife of the emperor Alexander Severus, are said to have attended.

AD 227: Deoneces mentors Immortal Quilo of Hispalis, a slave who he buys from his master and then frees. Quilo spends the next two years with the four Immortals in Ostia, learning all he can from all of them.

AD 229: The five Immortals of Ostia go their separate ways after ten years together. Katherine and Seraphina leave Italy altogether, Quilio sets off to explore Western Europe, while Deoneces and Kyra relocate to Greece, before Kyra then parts ways with her lover six months later.

The five Immortals will continue to cross paths with each other for the next 1800 years. Kyra, Katherine and Seraphina continue to share the Spartan's bed whenever each of them is reunited with Deoneces, and Quilo continues to learn from his three mentors until his death.

    Apollo1, 2009

In 1814, Deoneces of Sparta and his on/off lover, Kyra of Sparta I, helped to found the Filiki Eteria resistance group with the aim of liberating Greece from Ottoman rule. They planned to launch revolts in the Peloponnese, the Danubian Principalities, and Constantinople. The Ottoman Sultan negotiated with Mehmet Ali of Egypt, who agreed to send his son Ibrahim Pasha to Greece with an army to suppress the revolt in return for territorial gain.
By the end of 1825, most of the Peloponnese was under Egyptian control, and the city of Messalonghi - under siege by the Turks since April 1825, fell in April 1826. Following years of negotiation, the three Great Powers, Russia, Great Britain and France intervened in support of the Greeks, defeating an Egyptian-Turkish fleet at Navarino. A French expeditionary force then helped the Greeks expel the Turks from the Peloponnese and recaptured central Greece by 1828. Greece was finally recognised as an independent nation in May 1832. The long, hard struggle fought by Deoneces and Kyra had seen their ancient homeland free at last.

    THE DARK DEONECES CHRONICLE

There is much speculation in Watcher ranks as to how it is that Deoneces of Sparta has never
succumbed to a Dark Quickening as did his line-brother Henry of Kent, the Highlander Duncan MacLeod,
James Coltec and Guy LeStrange, especially when you consider the infamous Immortals who have fallen
to his blade: Kane, The Kurgan, Kronos, Coronus of Persia; any one of them could have corrupted the
mighty Spartan. So, what is the answer? Perhaps the secret lies in a simple truth: only someone who
has conquered the darkness in their own soul could contain the darkness in others.

Deoneces was forced to confront that darkness during two decades in the late 8th century AD,
The Spartan had settled down for the first time in around 1200 years on the island of Sicily with a
mortal woman named Aria, the wife of a former comrade-in-arms who died in battle and who Deoneces
made a promise that he would take care of his family. The Spartan fell in love with Aria and her
three children and, much to the astonishment of his Watcher at the time, became a merchant after so
    long as a warrior.

This woman, Aria, was of an astonishing beauty, but more importantly is that she reminded him of
Hyppolita, his first wife in pre-immortality who could never have borne him children at the time of
ancient Sparta. Her three children, one boy and two girls, where amazing little hellions, fierce,
petulant, open-mouthed and showing the promise of being someday either great warriors of great
artists. For they were gifted with painting, music and archery. At such a young age it was a marvel
to behold and Deoneces felt those were truly the reincarnations of people he knew twelve centuries
ago. So akin Deoneces felt to his new family that he swore to himself that he would stood forever
ready to their needs as well as the needs of their descendants.
It was the first time Deoneces oppned his heart in this fashion - with the exeption of his three
sirens - and the decade that followed would be one of the happiest in his long life.
The warrior had become a family man.

But Deoneces’ peace was short-lived: after only ten years, the Spartan was away on the Italian
mainland on business when Immortal Kossos of Illyria, a student of Coronus of Persia, led a band of
raiders in an attack on the village. All the men were put to the sword, the women and girls were
brutally raped and then butchered, even the children were slaughtered.
When Deoneces returned to the island a few days later, the woman and children he loved were dead and
his home was gone. Consumed by grief he sought answers from a nearby village that had also been hit
and where there were survivors and learned of the raiders and the man who led them, who had survived
a sword to the chest; Deoneces saw the handiwork of an acolyte of Coronus, his old enemy, in the
    leader of the raiders.

Soon, the Spartan’s grief turned to rage and a burning desire for revenge; he would hunt them all
down, every last one of them, but he would save Kossos for last.
For the next two decades, from 762 to 785, Deoneces followed the trail of Kossos and his
bloodthirsty band. He barely slept, his hair grew long and his face was nearly unrecognisable
beneath a bushy beard, his clothes were unkempt; he resembled a wild man as he moved from town to
town, spending his nights getting drunk and his days tracking his quarry.
He caught two of the raiders at an inn in Burgundy where they had been left behind by Kossos to
sober up. Deoneces flew into a rage and attacked them both. The inn was owned by a fellow Immortal,
Durand, who objected to people being murdered on his premises, but the Spartan ignored Durand’s
protests and brutally slaughtered the men anyway. When Durand tried to eject Deoneces, threatening
to inform the local militia, the Spartan, enraged, beheaded the Burgundian, who didn’t even have
    time to arm himself.

And so it was for the next 23 years as Deoneces hunted down the raiders and killed them one by one
all across Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. Kossos, fearful of the wrath of the Spartan
relentlessly hounding his steps, fled for his life. Meanwhile, any Immortal unlucky enough to cross
the path of Deoneces, innocent or otherwise, was treated with contempt and brutally dispatched for
getting in his way. The Spartan was obsessed with revenge. In all, another four Immortals met their
tragic end at the sword of the wrathful Deoneces.
In time, word reached Kyra of Sparta in Bohemia of the bedraggled, wild-haired warrior slaughtering
raiders and who laughed maniacally during a lightning storm after beheading a man in Bavaria. His
description could only be her on again/off again lover Deoneces. The stories even reached the ears
of Seraphina in Anatolia and Katherine of Samothrace in the Frankish Kingdom. Separately, the three
women set out on the trail of the man they all loved, determined to help a man they knew could only
    be in terrible pain.

In 785, they finally all converged on the town of Bremen in Saxony over the course of a week, each
following the bloody trail the Spartan had been unwittingly leaving for them. On the outskirts of
the town, having been re-united the night before at an inn in Bremen, the three women found Doeneces
throttling the last of the raiders to death. They barely recognised their lover, pain and rage
etched on his face, and he warned them not to interfere or get in his way. But all three of his
“sirens” refused to allow him to destroy himself. He drew his sword and attacked the women, who
defended themselves, but would not hurt the Spartan. Using skills Deoneces had taught them all
himself, Kyra, Katherine and Seraphina parried or dodged his wild blows. Eventually, all three women
lowered their swords, fell to their knees, and offered their heads to Deoneces, hoping that their
Quickenings would heal his pain, that their love for him would heal the wound in his soul.
But Deoneces could not kill the three women he cared about the most in the world. He fell to his
knees, screamed at the sky, and then wept. Kyra, Katherine and Seraphina, crying with him, held him
in their arms and comforted the Spartan as the rage and grief drained from him, washed away by the
love of the three Immortal women.
The next day, the quartet checked into the inn in Bremen and spent the next month scandalising the
townsfolk with their noisy sexual exploits and open displays of affection. The dark Deoneces was
gone, the rage was still there below the surface but it was now contained and would always be a part
of him, brought out only in his duels with other Immortals, the reason he is so formidable.

In 1931, Kossos of Illyria, henchman to a notorious Irish mobster, was lured into an alleyway by a
mysterious woman, an Immortal, offering him a quickie outside a nightclub. Instead, Kossos was
challenged and defeated in battle. On his knees, he demanded to know the identity of his attacker.
She told him her name was Kyra and she was righting a wrong, bringing closure to a dark chapter in
the life of a lover. “What’s his name?” he asked her. “Deoneces,” she told him and then took his
    head and his Quickening.

Kyra grew up thinking that the reason she’d been abandoned as an infant was because her parents had wanted a boy and left her out on a hillside to die. In ancient Sparta, it happened all the time. She was found by a priestess of Diana and raised in the image of the Huntress. Because of her anger at the parents who she thought abandoned her, she was determined to best the boys her age at sports, in the gymnasium, and in games of war, which she regularly did. It was only after her First Death, a fall in a foot race some said was caused by a jealous male runner, that she learned she’d not been singled out as a baby because she was a woman-no immortal knows who his parents are. But by then, the patterns were so deeply ingrained that she has never gotten over the feeling she always has to prove herself despite her gender.

    Marjorie Brubeck

After the death of Alexander the Great, Kyra went hunting for the man who ordered the death of her beloved friend and commander. Her lover, Deoneces, had already left to chase down the assassin, but Kyra wanted the astermind. It took her a year to track Coronus to a luxury villa in Gaza, Palestine. The fierce warrior woman slew all of his guards and fought the Persian. Coronus was outmatched and close to defeat, his eye already lost to a sword thrust, when the local militia interrupted the fight. While Kyra fought off the soldiers, Coronus escaped by jumping from the balcony into the sea.

    Apollo1/Apollo2

In 1814, Deoneces of Sparta and his on/off lover, Kyra of Sparta I, helped to found the Filiki Eteria resistance group with the aim of liberating Greece from Ottoman rule. They planned to launch revolts in the Peloponnese, the Danubian
Principalities, and Constantinople. The Ottoman Sultan negotiated with Mehmet Ali of Egypt, who agreed to send his
son Ibrahim Pasha to Greece with an army to suppress the revolt in return for territorial gain.

When Helen Bondeville debuked the pedophile network operating in England, she didn’t expect it to be ran by an immortal pedophile cowering in the midlle of London. But informations from the Secret Immortals Services pinned the blame of several missing children on Ronnie Rodgers, an immortal who had been behind the infamous kidnapping of young Gavin Cummings in 1995. Rodgers raised the child on his own, turned him into his own sex slave until he one day murdered him, hoping to keep him by his side, forever.
The incensed Helen killed Ronnie, had most of his clients arrested and then took on herself to take Gavin with her, introducing him to Doctor Sean Burns for extensive sessions of therapy before adopting him as his ward, since there was no way he could be returned to his family.

From the Chronicle of the SIS

The SIS’s own explosive expert, Allegra Chambers investigated a string of terrorist attacks from a gang of bombmakers making dozens of victims in the centertown of Manchester where only recently she took out the ringleader of a sex-slave operation and also an Immortal. This time the ringleader also turned out to be an Immortal mercenary working for the Jamaican underground of London with links to ISIL. It seems Winston Mobay became a Muslim and had his mind turned over by the Caliphate of Iran, triggerred several attacks between London, Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester. The SIS was on the call and it was Allegra who had to take the Jamaican out of the Game he played on 27 June after the three successive attacks on London this same months.

The past can always come back to haunt you.

As director of Mercia Construction, Richeard of Mercia suffered an inquiry on the burning of Grefell Tower in London, havign been the architect of the tenement building. However, no charges could be pressed against him. Havign been recently followed by one of his kind in recent weeks, Richeard suspected foul play from an Immortal and recruited his SIS cohorts to help him find out wether or not an Immortal could be responsible for this heinous act. The only likely suspect was Patrick Lynch, an Irish immortal and pyromaniac living in New-York, but he had moved out of the city and was nowhere to be found. Eventually, he was located in Greater Lndon, and in his appartment was found enough paraphernalia and explosives to set half of West London ablaze. Lynch was quickly found, interrogated and was forced to write a full confession which was sent to the police before his body was found in the Thames, seemingly decapitated by a boat’s propellers.

The Hellfire Club, an organisation of rich Immortals who have been a thorn in the SIS'side since the 17th century and are like a wet bar of soap : impossible to hold for long. Richeard and his group could never catch them in time and put a permanent end to their activites. Not exactly major villains, but still severe nuisances. Irritatign and frustrating, hedonistic, scheming, anti-patriotic, everything the SIS isn't! They even made friends with the SIS ennemies such as the Spanish Cabal, the Knights of Charlemagne and the Court of Beauties. They dress up in Victorian-era clothing, are involved in racketeering, counter-inelligence, wanton acts of terrorism and also extortion. They don't mind murder too. They tend to target and kill, ridicule, harass important figures of the Londonian society. Everything that can annoy, piss off or endanger the SIS they do it! Their credo is: do what you want unto others, but don't get caught.. and don't lose your head! Watcher Bureau, London England

    Sir,

Indira Bedi, turned up with a new student she just recruited out of the local Tower of Silence. The boy's name is Badri Toppur, a Parsi who died performing a religious ritual. From what I gathered, he died from aneurysm, unless it was an heart attack. Natural causes, anyway. Badri Toppur was left to rot on one of the "Towers of Silence"until he came back to life and was believed to be a demon bent on cursing former fellow Parsi. When Indira heard the tale of a young man coming back to life, she rushed from the office and managed to put Badri Toppur to safety in his home. I've already begun a Watcher profile for Badri Toppur, to be added to the database.

    With regards,
    R. Sundaram

The oldest living immortal woman, Xanthia is without a doubt the grande dame in the immortals community. Always a lady, with a sense of style and elegance that transcended millennia, Xanthia is Princess Grace with a three thousand year reign. But gentle Xanthia is not without her bite, too -- no Immortal lives so long without a formidable sword arm, even if they do own an abbey on Holy Ground. She is also a remarkable teacher, passing on both her knowledge of the sword and her wisdom and love to numerous students, some of whom followed her teachings better than others. There are many legends about her -- as a lover of Agamemnon, as keeper of the mythical Methuselah's stone, as model for the Venus de Milo -- but it is her legendary graciousness that will bring her into the millennia to come.

Before the beginning of the Immortals War, Meghan MacKay infiltrated the Scot nationalist party in order to document the rise of immortal-triggered nationalism in the country watched over by Robzert Henderson and Andrew MacNair, but found none of it. While Warren Cochrane was known as an ardent supporter of Scottish independance, he declared not guilty after having been murdered along with eight other immortals during August 2011' attacks on the UK immortals. Warren was the shadow of hismelf, wracked with guilt over the murder of his most recent student (see Andrew Donelly chronicle) and took few part in the rise of nationalism in Scotland.
During her investigation, Meghan found no foul play from any immortal, but she has proven herself as such a valuable member of the SIS group that she didn't need the help of Henderson and MacNair who were already busy with covering the growing number of immortals deaths in their part of United Kingdom.

Report on the Six of Vinland
    15.05.2000

The Vikings, like other sea-rovers, are not as romantic as nineteenth-century fiction would make them out to be; neither are they exclusively the blood-thirsty ravishers depicted in the chronicles of the monks of England and Ireland. They may not have worn horned helmets,
but they did sail ships carved with dragons' heads and they ventured far out into the western sea in search of new lands and adventure. In about 1000 AD, Leif Eriksson (son of Erik the Red) explored the new continent, acompanied by immortals Ejnar Kanwulfsson and Sygin Fenrisdottir, the latter being later cross-referenced as Kellistra, student of the fabled Four Horsemen. For the next ten years a number of voyages were made from Greenland to the new land, which the Norselmen called "Vinland" because of the profusion of grapes that grew there. Sygin and Kanwulf settled there and created a colony that flourished, adopted several orphaned Viking children they named after Gods of Norse mythology : Eir, Freya, Thor, Heimdall, Kvasir and Balder.
More than one century went on before the prophecy of six immortal Vikings born from Vinland would come true. Kanwulf and Sygin's clan enlarged itself and then came the time for her brethen to leave the paradise for a much harsher world. The six children she adopted and who all turned out to be immortals spent decades discovering the North-Amercian continent before
leaving for the land of their ancestors toward the beginning of the 12th century.
The Vinland immortals had originally decided to stay in the New World when their mortal comrades all returned to Greenland and Iceland because they were disgusted when the Vikings converted to Christianity. This happened just before the year 1000 AD and created much controversy. What happened is, some of the Vikings had converted; most had not; then some of them appealed for judgement to a highly respected thane, and he mulled over the question for about a year and then announced that the entire Viking nation ought to convert en masse. His opinion had the protectorate of law and the pagan Vikings, much to their disgust, were obliged
to comply. This legal judgement led ultimately to the conversion of all Norsemen to Christianity . The Six of Vinland, though, rejected the whole business and washed their hands of their brethren in disgust. They still protect each other and each other's families and each New Year's eve they gather with their families and immortal students to remember legends of times past when all of them were heroes.

Following, are reports on each of the Six of Vinland, who were first identified in London during the infamous Hunt for Jack the Ripper (File#57458-1899).

Thor : in mythology, God of thunder and battle
Thor was usually portrayed as a large, powerful man with a red beard and eyes of lightning. Despite his ferocious appearance, he was very popular as the protector of both gods and humans against the protectorates of evil. He even surpassed his father Odin in popularity because, contrary to Odin, he did not require human sacrifices. In his temple at Uppsala he was shown
standing with Odin at his right side. This temple was replaced by a Christian church in 1080. The Norse believed that during a thunderstorm, Thor rode through the heavens on his chariot pulled by the goats Tanngrisni ("gap-tooth") and Tanngnost ("tooth grinder").
Lightning flashed whenever he threw his hammer Mjollnir. Thor wears the belt Megingjard which doubles his already considerable strength. His hall is Bilskirnir, which is located in the region Thrudheim ("place of might"). His greatest enemy is Jormungand, the Midgard
Serpent. At the day of Ragnarok, Thor will kill this serpent but will die from its poison. His sons will inherit his hammer after his death.

The story of Thor Kanwulfsson is a sad story of a man screwed up by immortality, by the Game, and more importantly by the education he received from his mother, Sygin Fenrisdottir. Conversations between the Vinland immortals state of the harsh methods used by "Sygin" to raise her children, to mold them from pre-immortals into efficient war-machines able to survive the perils of the Game. Kvasir himself, the calmer of the lot, stated that being raised by Kellistra was like a blade being forged through fire and cold water : the more ardent the fire, the stronger the steel. The result, according to him, is : six warriors from Vinland, but also a demented psychopath roaming the street of London, an unhappy killer hailing from China and many troubled immortals from Kellistra's line. While the Vinland clan apparently honor Kellistra as they would honor the Second Coming, some of them sounded a triffle bitter about their training as immortals.

Eir and Freya are prompt to defend their mother, reminding their brothers of how she loved and nurtured her children, but Thor is the most bitter of the lot. When he was small, he fell in a ravine and received such a blow on his head that it resulted in disminished intelligence; although strong as an ox and capable in the arts of war, he didn't become a bright man, so Kellistra educated him with the utmost severity so as to tame the violence she felt in him. Did Thor felt pressured ? Did he feel less loved ? As centuries went back and the Vinland Clan's stature as heroes disminished, Thor lost himself in bottles of mead and became a chronic alcoholic, haunted by the dangers of the Game. Because of his alcoholism, he lost his beautiful wife, his daughter, his house, his wealth. He now lives in an isolated farm as a distillery operator, keeping out of trouble and sadly remembering the times when he was a hero.

Lang Quing, or Wendy Lee, as she's known these days, is one of Henry of Kent's most successful students. Born in China, she has spent little time there; inspired by her teacher's tales of the wider world, Lang Quing has lived in most of the big cities in her three centuries on this earth: London, Paris, Madrid, Rome, New York. These days, it is San Francisco's Chinatown, as owner of Wendy Lee's Arts & Crafts, where she indulges her passion for art, in particular, her expertise at painting landscapes of most of the places she has seen. Don't let her small frame and beauty fool you, for Lang Quing is a well-trained student of one of the greatest swords of the Immortal world: Henry of Kent, grandmaster of headhunter-slayers. And like her teacher and mentor, the Little Dragon has slain a few headhunters in her time and i'm sure if any others cross her path, they will meet the same fate.

    Long may she live.

    Apollo1/Apollo2 2010

From the Chronicle of Lang Quing

Lang Quing was in tears when Henry of Kent announced her the demise of Guo Jing at the sword of Frank Bascombr. An immortal of unknown origins, Guo was barely a bleep on Watcher scope; never playing the Game, seldom meeting other imortals and living in obscurity until she was found and killed by Bascombe.
She was an opportunity for a kill, as far as the Boer was concerned, but to Lang she was a good friend, albeit a poor student in swordmanship. Henry of Kent offered Kang to track down Bascombe but she would hear none of it : she wanted to nail the bastard herself, as she put it. Henry gave her the coordinates of the killer and acompanied her to the airport, giving her moral strenght. Two days later, after scoping out Cincinnati, Lang found Bascombe and challenged him to a fair fight. Bascombe never played fair, but Lang saw through his tricks and easly overpowered the arrogant Boer who fell to his knees, muttering 'finish it, Chinese whore'. 'The whore has a name, it's Lang Quing !' she yelled before sending Bascombe's rotten soul to the deepest pits of hell. Guop Jing was avenged and another headhunter has been removed from the active roster of immortals.

From the Records of the Tribunal/Ravenwood
    21 January 2013

One year after the Immortals War, after the dust has cleared and the dramatic takeover of the Watchers by Ravenwood, a census was made on the current population of immortals, worldwde, made of active immortals and inactive immortals (read : living on Holy Grounds).

Ireland always had a complicated history with its northern portion being part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ulster while the southern portion is part of Western Europe. It was decided to give it a particular status in the Northern part of Europe. Ever since the death of Annie Devlin, the Irish immortals have been livign in relative peace and now that the Immortals War is over, they no longer need to be afraid of the coming Gathering. Rasheed Awuja and Dela-O-Kande Umaru moved out of New-York to join hte Nigerian community of Dublin. Paddy Bell, a young immortal, is a webmaster; political satirist, film-maker, having founded the Laughing Horse Productions. Etain fo the Second Look is in Belfast. Lang Quing left San Francisco and settled in Dublin where Fahter Liam Riley also lives, bringing modern views of the world to the Catholic youth. Seamus of Athlone rea-appared in Limerick.

    Subject : Missing assignment

    Dear Sir,

This morning, Etain of the Second Look rose up early and did her morning routine before freezing like a deerr caught in headlight, looking like she sensed the presence of another Immortal. She then quickly took her shoes, her purse and jumped out of her window before her flat suddenly exploded. Investigation by the firemen later concluded to a gaz leak.
Etain rushed to the nearest store for clothing and vanishedl, losing me in the crowd. I lost her trace, but I suppose she took the first train at the station, looking like she was running from something... or someone.
Did her clairvoyance abilities warn her of a gaz leak in her flat, or of the presence of a headhunter ?
I hooked on the Watchers Grapevine to find out about any headhunters in town, but there were none.
Etain took a Greyhound for New-York, trying apparently to put as much distance between herself and Ohio as possible. I do not know what went through her head, but I cannot follow her : my baby is due next week, not the right time for my Immortal to grow legs.

I would like to request re-assignment with your kind permission, Sir, in the hope that Etain of the Second look will be safe in New-York.

    Cordially, Janie

The Celtic tradition has been an oral one. Poems, songs, stories were not written down but told from father to son, and Teacher to student. Seamus is a walking repository of Celtic music and stories. I shudder to think of all that would be lost if he ever loses his head.
I pray every day that he will begin to set down all that he knows. But that seems as likely as the ocean turning purple.
Right now the man is completely smitten with Linnett’s new receptionist Moira. Maureen Butler, my boss and Seamus’s former watcher, told me she was able to get many fine stories by buying him a pint or two and showing a bit of leg. When I said I don’t think that would work in my case, she said a real Watcher would do whatever was necessary to fulfill his oath.
At first I thought she was joking but when she showed up a week later at my apartment with a wig and a dress I was not laughing. I told her she was absolutely daft that there is no way the man would think I was a woman!
But she said that by 10 pm the man is so blind drunk that he can barely recognize himself in the mirror.
Well at 10 sharp I entered the pub all tarted up, Thank God no one recognized me, and sat a seat down from him. I no sooner had set my fanny on the stool when he started to chat me up. We talked for about 2 hours and I got some real good stories about the court of Brian Boru and he recited some love poetry in Gaelic. I had a tape recorder in my purse so I got down every word. It wasn’t till the end that he started getting grabby but I managed to hold him off. Maureen says that I did way better than she ever had and she has my outfit all picked out for next week.
    Dear God I need a transfer !

Another great set of chronicles, my friend. I especially enjoyed the story of the Seven Champions of Christendom, all disciples of Dionysus the Aeropagite. Some gripping tales there...

The Fulani Clan viewed the Game as unholy and seldom played it, or fought Immortals only in legimitate defense. I don’t think Sankara ever took a Quickening in the four hundred years he was observed by Watchers. Some Immortals play the Game and kill Immortals in the name of their chosen God (Safiyah Khan, Damon Case,..) the Fulani Clan avoids confrontations because they believe it is not the will of Allah to see Immortals kill each others in the name of a fabled “Prize”. Sankara wouldn’t even let his cohorts fight aggressive players, he took himself the responsability of defending his clan. He must have been the bravest of men, or rather an obessive control freak who never let his clan members grow up and learn from their mistakes. In the name of Allah he avoided the Game, in the name of Allah the Swords of Allah hunted them down and in likelihood killed them all.

The legend of the Knights of Christendom truly commences by 650 AD, when shadowy immortal Metopholus gathered seven immortal heroes from all parts of Western Europe as help to hunt the legendary Xathia of Melitus at this time a thrall of the dreaded Dark Quickening. Xanthia received it from an old and evil immortal in India and for one century, roared and ramapaged across two continents, with Methos hot on her trails, trying to prevent her from causing more deaths. She put thousands of mortals to the sword, killed at least six immortals we know of and damaged her reputation to the extant her former disciples went in hiding, dreading the days she would come after them.
Finally, Xanthia was captured by the Knights of Christendom, originally six Christian martyrs mentored by the ancient Dyonisios who combined their strenghts against the forces of darkness. They fought many evil immortals, but it was the first time they had to face one of the most benevolents of their kind, the legendary Rebecca, keeper of the Stone of Methuselah and former lover of King Agamemnon.
It is Methos who guided his allies to a holy spring where Xanthia was forced to confront her inner demons, her good side eventually prevailing. The seven holy knights were the one she had to thank and truly, this was their most acomplished feat : bringing Xanthia back from the darkness ot the light.

Deoneces of Sparta, Cleophon of Athens
First recorded sighting : 326 BC. Athens, Greece
    Encounter with Karmanshar and Tomyris

Further research has been made on the legendary "Holy Man of Paris" in the wake of Darius' tragic death at the hands of the accursed James Horton. His first appearance can be traced back to the height of the Aegean civilisation according to conversations reported by the Watchers of Xanthia of Miletus, Karmanshar & Tomyris, Cassandra and from earlier Methos chronicles, sparse as they may be. What follows are fragments of Lycos' story from around 3,500 BC to his end at the hands of General Darius. While Lycos'death was tragic, his greatest acomplishment was to give the world one of the most benevolent immortals who ever existed.
With his death, Methos became the oldest living immortal.

Emrys, mythical pagan priest who lived in before Methos was born, around 3500 BC and already an ancient immortal. Mentioned in a conversation between Methos and Xanthia of Miletus circa 850 AD, said to have been killed by General Darius in Lutetia, 410. Emrys is possibly one of the ancient Druids who built Stonehenge.

Genonn Gruadsolus : a druid who lived in Ulster, Ireland, around 900 BC. Practiced black magic until getting burnt to a stake by the Inquisition. Did he become as mad as John Garrick from the agony he suffered ?

Lycurgus of Sparta, semi-mythical Spartan lawgiver said to have lived in the 7th century BC. Lycurgus was traditionally believed to have patterned his laws after those of Crete or to have received them from the oracle at Delphi (possibly Cassandra). He then established a new social order and introduced a constitution that transformed Sparta into a military state. Obtaining from the Spartans an oath not to alter his laws until he returned, Lycurgus went into voluntary exile and never came back.

Vohuman (559 BC-400 BC) : Aechemenian in Iran until the invasion by Alexander the Great. He was living as a Zoroastrian priest. Befriended Cleophon of Athens and his disciple, Deoneces of Sparta.

Lycurgus of Athens (circa 396-c. 325 BC), Athenian financier, statesman, and orator. He was a pupil of Plato and of the orator Isocrates of Athens. Lycurgus is most famous for his administration of Athenian finances from 338 to 326 BC, when he greatly increased the wealth of the state. He also erected many new buildings and remodeled a number of old ones, among them the theater of Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and vegetation. In politics Lycurgus strongly supported the policy of opposition to Philip II, king of Macedonia, advocated by the Athenian orator Demosthenes. Met and befriended immortals Karmanshar and Queen Tomyris.

Dionysius the Areopagite (1st century-3rd Century AD), member of the Areopagus in Athens and convert to Christianity through the preaching of Saint Paul. He is reputed to have been the first bishop of Athens and to have been martyred there in the reign of Domitian, emperor of Rome. At this time, he also was one of the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus in Turkey (see Chronicle : the Seven Sleepers of Ephesus).

Udpate 22.10.2012 : As recently told by Malcus of Ephesus during his stay in London in the middle of the Immortals War, Dyonisus mentored all six of the other Sleepers of Ephesus who turn out to be six actual brothers from Ephesus. How six pre-immortal boys turned out in Ephesus at the beginning of the 3rd century is as unlikely as six pre-immortals born in Vinland during the 10th century; however, the Six of Vinland do exist and their origin story was confiormed by Kanwulf and by Bjorn Gustavson themselves.
Hence, the need to update the Sleepers’ chronicles accordingly and to work on the first recorded sightings of the men bearing the names of Constantine and Seraphim of Ephesus.

How many rapists and pedophiles are there in our chronicles ? One dozen ? Two ? Miguel de Boabventura was another one and a defroqued priest to boot, an impostor posing as a man of peace and servant of Jesus Christ. Maria Rosa saw beyond the charming demeanor and believed the tale fo Lisa who told her mama and tio about Padre Miguel molestiong her, hurting her private parts. Maria Rosacame after Miguel who smiled and told her about the amorous relationship he developped with little girls over the years. The disgusted and revolted Maria didn’t let him finish. She drew her sword and after a quick fight promptly executed the pedophile. After she castrated him for good measure. Then she came back to Lisa’s home and consoled her as much as she could, explaining her that she should never let a man hurt her but also that men would someday gave her all the love and pleasure she deserved. Tearful Lisa listened and learnt her lesson : whatever happened to her, it wasn’t a normal relationship with men. Maria Rosa was truly a woman in advance with her times, a child psychologist in the 1910’s ! Maybe she took lessons from Sean Burns ?

Ever since cops broke his spine in 1984, two years before he reached Immortality and could have been healed from his injuries, Salomon Nyobé has been stuck in a wheelchair but he never let that wheelchair be his prison, fighting for the rights of civilians in Cameroon and recently trying to curb endemic child abuse, planting viruses in computers used by pedophiles, and fighting the child prostitution ring led by Immortal Barthelemy Kiesso who didn’t take kindly to the meddlesome Immortal. One such viruses destroyed years worth of data on Kiesso’s computer database and the police was alerted to Kiesso’s business by a floppy drive sent anonimously. Salomon always had a gift with computers, less with the sword since he couldn’t use one. Ibrahim Endele taught him to always stay on Holy Grounds since this is where no one could touch him.
Kiesso’s mercs kidnapped him and brought him bound and gagged to their master who dealt with his ennemy as he saw fit. Too late, though, as dozens of children were freed by childcare services with Kiesso leading his own battle for freedom in court with the best atorneys money can buy.

Labdouni never takes betrayal kindly and while Nazaris is listed on the rost of Missing Immortals, his fate in Tripoli doesn't look good. Being a smart fellow, there is a possibility that he managed to evade the Swords of Allah in 1593 but for how long ? Did he make it to London, after all ? He may not even have reached the shores of Italy where the merchant ship was supposed to take him.
The last report of Sami's Watcher states that he was located in Tripoli's portuary zone, walking fast and nervously but Sami lost him in the crowd and he was incapable of finding him.

Kingdom. Found by Parthos of Aram

Suriash did hunt me for centuries after I killed her husband in fair fight. She pretended I cheated and that had I not cheated, I would be pushing daisies instead of her beloved. I know I won fair and square and won’t abide by any of the guilt Suriash wanted me to feel in those days. The Game is the Game and it has been so for thousand of years. I should know since we started it, my brothers and I. Or did we ? I can’t seem to remember how it all started. Anyway, I killed Parthos of Aram’s wife I remember exactly when and where. Celtic Gaul, during Julius Caesar's Gallic Wars when I mentored that idiot Vorlix of Gergovia, another one among my “thousand regrets”. Seems to me Suriash posed as a celtic princess and she came after me screaming fo revenge.
I was known as Caratarix then, and later called “the Son of Tutatis, God of thunder and lightings” when I took her crazy head. Funny, I even thought she was Cassandra coming after my like the Furies of ancient myth. I thought I was rid of the pest then, imagine my surprise when she re-appeared in my life in 1996 !

Occupation : Posing as squire to local general of

Prior occupations : Traveller, squiring himself to

Roster of Immortals Status : Missing
    Date : 1017
    Place : Gurganj
    Victor : N.A
    Watcher : Research, Middle East

    Background
Original cultural affiliation : Iranian Khwarezmian
Born : 702; Oasis region of Khwarezm,
Amu Darya River, Western Central Asia
First death : 712 Killed with his family by Umayyad
    Arabs during conquest of Khwarezm
    First teacher : Seraphina
    Known past associates : Seraphina
First recorded sighting : 712. Western Central Asia
    Travelling with Seraphina

Seraphina taught what she could to the Immortal boy she mentored in the Eighth century but where Amanda the thief taught trickery and deceit to Kenneth the Saxon and forgetting his existence for the following eight hundred years, Seraphina the Roman gladiatrix taught Smerdis to use speed and agility to evade aggressive Immortals and to never try eating a meal he couldn’t chew, i.e she didn’t turn him into an aggressive player of the Game. Seraphina and Smerdis stayed together for two decades before the boy felt he had grown enough and wanted to strike on his own. For three hundred years he avoided the Game, ran from Immortals he felt could hurt him and proved to be very good at hiding in plain sight; in the mortal world he hired himself as squire to knights or armies officers who would need him and he had a knack at making himself useful : imagine, a boy with the life-experience of a three hundred years old man ! Smerdis disappeared from our chronicles in 1017, during the invasion of Khwarezm by Sultan Mamhud of the Ghaznavid, Jamal Labdouni and Taher Ibn Hamed Al Jaber founders of the Swords of Allah were present and while we cannot prove for certain Smerdis was killed by Labdouni or by Al Jaber, he would have been but an appetizer to the two conquering Muslims.

Yeah, my friend. I read everyone. Sorry if i got the wrong end of the stick. Normally i comment on your chronicles but at the time i had this new chronicle in my head which i had to get down and i wanted to reply to the points you made about Deoneces and Kyra. I appreciate all of your postings and i read every one which are always great. I'm not as prolific as you are as i'm in the midst of caring for my mum who has dementia and my dad, who is also not in the best of health. Sort of a full-time job at the moment. Reading your postings cheers me up and i look forward to them all. I post when i can and i'm still working on more Hellfire Club postings and i'm also delving into a few kills for Roman Alvarez who i feel I've neglected.

BTW Thanks for the work you did on Aeronwen, i appreciate it very much.

    Cheers
