  • What does says Gregory Widen about it?

In a 30 min. long documentary released in 2007 called The Making of Highlander I: A Legend Is Born, there are interviews with
Peter Bellwood and Gregory Widen. What do they say about Highlander 2?

I'm not sure about that documentary, but Gregory Widen has recently said, "I don’t think the great Highlander sequel has been made yet."

Or even a good HL sequel, IMO.

I'd certainly love to have seen it. 3 and 4 could've both learned from the lessons of the past and done something with it, but nope. In retrospect, 5 was inevitable.

I found it. Gregory just says "people were very angry, it was awful, I have nothing to do with it". Peter Bellwood talks more, he says it turned
out in a completely different direction in what he had in mind. I'll put on Youtube.

Really though I would argue Highlander 2 was more a sequel to Russell Mulcahy's style of direction in the original than it was a sequel to Widen's original ideas.

I've never heard it put like that, but that makes sense.
