    Highlander: Dark Places

If they now own STARZ network then they should scrap the idea of a theatrical release of the Highlander reboot movie. It would be smarter to reboot the franchise as a series where the stories could be stretched out over more episodes. This gives them more time to introduce characters and to develop a fan base. STARZ has been successful with Outlander and Black Sails. The same limited run series could work for a new Highlander story as well. They just need to create new characters and stories instead of retelling of recasting old ones.

They definitely don't "need" to not recast and retell... but it would certainly be my preference that they go for new characters and stories, too.
