I hope Michel will come back and give us his take on Heather's birthdate. But, until then, maybe we should move on to a new question.

Next Question: At the police station, Brenda walks into the Detective's Room to talk to Frank about going out for lunch. He is on the phone discussing a case involving two neighbors. What did the Vietnamese neighbor do?
Ate the neighbours dog! That scene always makes me chuckle. You wouldn't get away with that sort of dialogue these days.

Next question; during the opening titles we hear the utterly brilliant 'Princes of the Universe' but what is the next Queen song that is heard during the first Highlander film?

The next Queen song plays when the Kurgan is driving into NYC. The song is: "Gimme the Prize (Kurgan's Theme)". I listened to a recording of the whole song. Bits of Clancy Brown's Kurgan performance from the movie were dubbed in at certain points. His laughter is deliciously evil!

Next Question: After Kurgan checks into the Motel, he assembles his sword and plays with it in his room. How many pieces does the sword have when disassembled?

A great question. From memory I was thinking 5 pieces but I think its 4? - Hilt (handle and cross guard) and 2 parts of the blade?

Next question; what was Heather MacLeod's maiden name?

          Hello there!

I remember Heather's maiden name is MacDonald. I guess I learned it first in the wikia, since I don't remember it mentioned in the movies. Surely it wouldn't be Fraser!
After some more researches, I found out that Glen Coe is actually the place of the "Clan MacDonald of Glen Coe", and there took place a massacre where many men of the clan died.

About the birth month of the lady, I admit it is difficult to find...but I will not give it so easily, we're posting in the "game and humor" section after all
But I realize and respect your efforts searching for it (especially about the weather!) so I will give you a clue:
The headhunter terrorizes all NYC, cops don't have any clue, journalists cover the event every single day!
With a good screen and some process of deduction we may also agree on a precise day.
It's in the movie, no script, nor comics nor series...no rabbit hole.

Now what's following will not help you.
With all your suggestions about the weather, I had to do some search about the climate there!
          About Glen Coe:
          https://en.climate-data.org/europe/u...glencoe-61865/
It may look cold, especially if we're coming from a warmer region. But I read that this part of Scotland is actually warmer than other parts of the world at the same latitude thanks to the Gulf Stream.
I must agree about the trees without leaves. But if there is snow on the mountain tops in autumn, it means it stayed all year long. So could be in spring too.
About New York, the scenes apparently follow the time of the shooting...but I won't go further for another clue!

          About the Kurgan:
Yesterday I watched again The Shawshank Redemption, it's always a pleasure to see the Kurgan undercover between the Forties and Sixties.
In these forum I found a link to a video on YT that explains that a sword with a blade in several parts, like the one of the Kurgan, is actually very weakened and would break after the first hit. Still I love the magic of the cinema, it's a kind of magic.

Correct, MacDonald isn't mentioned in the film but I believe its revealed in the novel (and wiki).

Heathers birthday: so based on this I had a bit of a revelation. There is one particular scene I've just watched which may hold the answer - 3rd April. The date is hard to work out but I'm going with that.

              Good job!

You will find below the screens about the newspappers shown in the movie.

This scene, 3rd April is immediately before the chuch scene where Connor lights the candle for Heather:

With the sketch of the killer on the first page, The Kurgan had to start a new style!

The date may be hard to read, so here is the newspapper of the day before, 2nd April, it's a Tuesday:

This newspapper is shown at the exit of the hospital where Rogue 2 is healed after being impaled by the Kurgan.
This way we can also calculate that Kastagir died (the day before) on 1 April, what a bad joke!

              So Dragon Katana, you win!
That was a tough one I confess, I think you deserve to ask the next question!

I must admit, the Heather birthday question was a good one. It really had me stumped!

Next question. When Rick turns to Brenda just after they cross referenced Russell Nash's signatures which century does Rick estimate Russell has been 'creeping around since?'

Yes, definitely four pieces, just as you described.

I have been thinking something similar since I saw the movie for the first time many years ago. I also thought that with a really hard hit the sword pieces might come apart.

Well done using the newspaper to find Heather's birthday. I didn't think of that.

Rick says, "... creaping around since at least 1700 pretending to croak every once in a while." I assume that the year 1700 counts as the first year of the 18th century.

Next Question: In the year 1536, shortly before Connor is mortally wounded, the Kurgan has a conversation with a leader of the rival clan. The Kurgan says, "Remember our agreement _______, the boy is mine." What was the rival clan leader's name?

                    Murdoch.

Next question: What animal does Matunas use as an example to the cops when he tells them about 'dropping' The Kurgan full of lead.

"That weirdo man, he got up, after I put enough lead in him to drop a rhino."

Next Question: Shortly before Connor meets Ramirez, he is forging a horseshoe. Heather, comes out with a plate of lunch. What did she bring for Connor to eat?

I think its pie and ale?

Yes, and with respect to that scene, I think that pie has a double meaning.

Ramirez's horse is magnificently white. I was going to say stallion, but that anatomical possibility is indeterminant in the brief blur of the horse flying over the camera.

Next Question: What is the name of the book that Brenda wrote?

I did think that about the pie get your mind out of the gutter!!

The book Brenda J. Wyatt wrote is: A Metallurgical History of Ancient Sword-Making. Admittedly I had to Google it. I could remember the words but not in the correct order

This is an interesting question because I have never really noticed the graffiti in the parking garage. There is quite a bit that only appears momentarily and can't really be made out. However, just before Fasil appears, the words "The Big" can clearly be seen tagged onto a column.

Next Question: During the battle of the clans in 1536, when Connor first encountered the Kurgan, what sort of animal skull is the Kurgan wearing?

'The Big One' is what I think it says. Well done.

The animal skull...I'm not even sure if it is a common animal? I'm thinking something like a sabre toothed tiger, or a lion, possible a jaguar? It's a big cat of sorts mixed with a mythical beast.

Next question; what is Kurgan holding when he is on the stairs, just before he kidnaps Brenda?

"The Big One" would make a lot more sense. Maybe the graffitist ran out of spray paint?

I tried to look up what animal the skull was from. I found references indicating a tiger several times. Then I looked at pictures of actual tiger skulls and there were differences from the Kurgan's helmet. So, I think you are right, the skull is some sort of big cat and mythical beast combo.

To answer your question, the Kurgan is holding a small pink popsicle. As Brenda tries to escape into her apartment, the Kurgan eats the popsicle off the stick. Funny, I never noticed that before.

Next Question: Connor and Ramirez are talking about the Kurgan. Connor asks, "Who is the Kurgan and where does he come from?" Ramirez answers, "The Kurgans were an ancient people from the steppes of Russia. For amusement they __________." What did the Kurgans do for amusement?

Tossed children into pits with hungry dogs to fight for meat.

I bet the Kurgan ate those dogs too!

                                        Brandy. Bottled in 1783.

Next question; what does Heather offer Ramirez just before the Kurgan barges in through the door of the forge back in 1541.

Yes. Its amazing how well brandy keeps over time!

Answer: Heather asks, "Oh, would you like some more wine?" Ramirez responds, "Yes please", and then looks up with a frown on his face as he senses the Kurgan.

Next Question: After Brenda comes to the antique store to speak to "Mr. Nash", there is a scene with Lt. Moran and another policeman. What is the other policeman eating?

Very good question. I think Bedsoe is eating a packet of Doritos? Or if its later in the film it could be a hotdog from the infamous "what does baffled mean?" scene.

Next question: How many candles does The Kurgan extinguish with his hand during 'the church' scene?

Next question: How many candles does The Kurgan extinguish with his hand during 'the church' scene?
It was indeed a bag of Doritos. I wonder if Frito-Lay paid the movie's production company for that product placement?

Answer: The Kurgan extinguishes nine candles including the one that Connor had just lit for Heather on her birthday. What a bastard!

Next Question: What is the name of the historic Scottish castle that served as the seat of Clan MacLeod in the movie?

Eilean Donan. I'd love to go one day. No excuses for me really as I live in the North East of England so its not that far from me.

Next question: If you look closely, what item does Angus give to Connor before he's kicked out of his village and thus avoiding being burnt at the stake.

If you go to Eilean Donan, take lots of pictures and post them here at the Board. Something like that might bring some of the old members back to participate with us, and maybe some new ones too!

Answer: It was difficult to see clearly, but I think that Angus gave Connor a sword which he somehow attached to Connor's back.

                                                  Next Question:

At the Loch where Connor was dumped into the water by Ramirez the following dialog exchange occured:

Connor: "This cannot be, its the devil's work!"

Ramirez: "You cannot die MacLeod. Accept it."

                                                  Connor: "I hate you!"

Ramirez: "Good, that is a perfect way to start."

Next scene, back at the tower/forge:

Connor: Tell me, how'd it happen for God's sake?"

What are the next two sentences that Ramirez spoke in response to Connor's question?

I'll certainly take photos of the castle. I'd love to see some of the old members come back. I'd love to reach out to some of them.

                                                    Answer to your question:

"Why does the sun come up, umm?' and 'are the stars just pinholes in the curtain of night?'.

'Who knows? But what I do know is because you were born different, men will fear you. Try to drive you away...like the people of your village.'

Next question; What is the very last word uttered on screen at the end of the first Highlander film?
