  • Agree with dubious, I have no agenda here, that's why I am doing random, don't care if Connor wins again, it would be kind of funny to me, but Clay, *another shrug* no biggy, so with that in mind:

    Conner got a 20, Clay a 14 so that gives Connor the votes this time

    117. Connor MacLeod = 14
    157. Haresh Clay = 8

      That's the one I use, too! My method, though, is that a 1 takes both minuses. Under ten is 1 minus. So I wouldn't have taken from Clay, but this is yours.

  • Clay isn't giving it up easily. He manages a slice to Connor. (Connor rolled a 5, Clay an 11)

    - Connor
    + Clay

    117. Connor MacLeod = 13
    157. Haresh Clay = 09

                      • snort of amusement. Let me see what the die does. Okay! Since people are doing by the 2s, I'll go with them in this case. Connor was over 10. Haresh was under.

                                • Even-steven again! Oooh. Oh dear. Connor asks as they fight, "What kind of man are you? Are you a good man?"

                                  Clay fights hard, but grief dogs his steps. "Does it matter? You're a MacLeod. It was a MacLeod who took my head. I remember..."

                                  Connor smiles with a bittersweet warmth. "Was it Duncan?"

                                  "It was."

                                  "He took mine, too. I made him. We were fighting a terrible enemy, who had killed everyone I loved. I needed him to be strong enough to defeat Kell. And I didn't have the heart to fight anymore."

                                  Clay feels the pain throughout his soul. "Duncan MacLeod did me no harm," he says with brittleness. To Connor's quizzical gaze he says, "He was just protecting his student. The man who took my shield-brother's head. He'd have let me go, but I didn't want to live without Carter. I'd have gone after Ryan, if only to be with him."

                                  Connor executes a hell of a move.
                                  ++ Connor who rolled 11
