  • Morning Shower Hummer

I've been having an eclectic array of songs pop into my head each morning in the shower. Sometimes it's a different song every day, sometimes it's the same song for a week. Last week it was l Don't Know How to Love Him from Jesus Christ Superstar. Today it was Don't Being Me Down by ELO.

Anyone else have this and if so what was the tune?

Mine's Mott the Hoople's All the Young Dudes. It may be permanent as I've had it for months.

I wonder what a psychiatrist would say about the song choices..or that I imagined something else all together from the thread title
Gonna change my evil ways...one of these days

Wouldn't say much about having an ear worm, unless you've got one of the Freudian shrinks, and he'd say something about odd sex or your mother (or both). No one knows why earworms happen, but to cure them, you have to sing something else. As for the title, well, thinking about normal sex is normal, thinking about kinky sex is kinky.

I don't sing in the shower but an old roommate used to. She used to sing George Michael's Too Funky while imitating Queen Elizabeth. It was really hysterical to sit in the living room and listen to. Another favorite of hers was Kiss by Prince also done in her Queen Elizabeth voice.

Oddly enough I had that one for about a week some fifteen years ago. Thought I was the only one who noticed they were the same.

Never thought there was such a thing as a clown that didn't fill me with loathing. But he's just so damned expressive. Great voice and vocal styling makes you appreciate the lyrics and forget the makeup. I don't watch TV btw, so I had to find him on the internet which is why I'm late to this pity party.

I do watch TV, but not AGT, but a friend sent him a while back.

What I hate is waking up with the song already in my head. "Come on Bahby, let's go potty..."

Have you notice that when you get a song stuck in your head that the lyrics start to change?

Bought a Casio keyboard in the early 90's. It had a demo button that played Together Forever. My daughter would press it over and over.

I dreamed I was back stage after a Monkees concert. The original old guys were fine, but the three new guys they'd added to replace Davy Jones (Yes, three: it was a dream!) were all in their twenties, had fixed, glassy smiles and shiny puffy faces. Seriously creepy.
