How do you do it? I successfully deleted my response to my original post but can't delete the original post.

How do you do it? I successfully deleted my response to my original post but can't delete the original post.

Should be the gear icon to the upper right. Though I'm not sure members have the ability to delete original posts (because that would, in turn, delete the thread).
