My husband and I enjoy Turkish TV on Netflix.* We are currently watching Filiinta Mustafa, which is a detective series set in 1800s Ottoman Constantinople. The primary bad guy, a Russian mobster named Boris, collects really bad art and interesting weapons including (drum rollllll)
Connor MacLeod's lion-headed katana. We need some fan fic telling how that happened and how Connor retrieved his sword.

*Except I don't recommend Yunice Emre unless you really want to know how a newly minted judge screws up his first cases and in his angst becomes a Sufi monk and poet.
