Ever since the Colonial powers withdrew from the continent and Africa's newly-independent fledgling nations plunged into civil war, starvation and genocide, Meja has struggled to bring Law and justice to little corners of the continent. Accra in Ghana was her most recent posting. She quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the best detectives in the city and it was there she made her name by bringing to an end the rampage of serial rapist and Immortal, Zakayo Erza. When he "died" in police custody and escaped, Meja tracked him down to a brothel in the suburbs and took his head. When she left Accra for Nairobi, Immortal Bebe Kenyatta requested her as her new partner. In only a few months, Meja and Bebe have gained a reputation as bloodhounds when it comes to catching criminals. They've also tracked and killed two Immortals who brought terror and murder to the streets of Nairobi. Their latest quarry is serial killer Sabacus, an Immortal from ancient Cyrenaica who has terrorised cities for nearly 1500 years. He has claimed eight victims so far, but Nairobi's two best detectives are hot on his trail and determined to bring this ancient killer's bloody rampages to an end.

The end of the 14th century in Serbia was a period marked by the rise of a new threat: the Ottoman Turk sultanate which spread from Asia to Europe. They conquered Byzantium and then the other states in the Balkans. Two Barons in the Serbian region, Mrnjavčević brothers, gathered a large army to repel the Ottomans. They marched into Ottoman territory in 1371 to attack the Turks, but they were too self-confident. They built an overnight camp near the river Maritsa at Chernomen in today's Bulgaria, and started celebrating the victory in advance, and eventually got drunk. During the night, a detachment of Ottoman forces led by Jamal Labdouni and his immortal brothers (see Eternal Swords of Allah Chronicle) attacked the drunk Serbian knights and pushed them to the river. Most of the knights were either killed or drowned. This battle became known as the Battle of Maritsa.
The result of this battle was that Serbs lost control over the south half of their former empire. Natasia of Pannonia's death was an added bonus to Labdouni's victory; the young immortal was a competent player of the Game and had an indomitable will to survive, unfortunately Labdouni was led by the will of Alah and she had been as drunk as her male counterparts that night.

De Montmarsants hope was to elevate himself in court enough to have the King's hear. His plan was foiled when his mistress was hunted by Isadora after her activities were fully disclosed. The baron was hung, while his lover was found in a field, decapitated with evidences of a violent storm nearby.

In 1602, the Dutch parliament awarded the VOC (Dutch East India Company) a monopoly on trade and colonial activities in the region at a time before the company controlled any territory in Java. In 1619, the VOC conquered the West Javan city of Jayakarta, where they founded the city of Batavia (present-day Jakarta). The VOC became deeply involved in the internal politics of Java in this period, and fought in a number of wars involving the leaders of Mataram and Banten.
The Dutch followed the Portuguese aspirations, courage, brutality and strategies but brought better organisation, weapons, ships, and superior financial backing. Although they failed to gain complete control of the Indonesian spice trade, they had much more success than the previous Portuguese efforts. They exploited the factionalisation of the small kingdoms in Java that had replaced Majapahit, establishing a permanent foothold in Java, from which grew a land-based colonial empire which became one of the world's richest colonial possessions.
The immortals Tjipto Adjeng and his wife Dara-Petak Djambek were freedom fighters who fought the VOC's influence on the Indonesian archipelago until their death against Ramelan of the Batak during the Jawa Wars of 1825-1830, twenty-five years after the VOC dissolved because of bankrupcy and the Dutch state took over the VOC's possessions.

The mysterious Jewess of Tangier was hunting Julius Adenauer in Morocco, an immortal she knew was reponsible for the massacre of countless Jews in Morocco during the 15th century but the German had left the city a long time ago. Instead of him, she found former slaver Xavier St. Cloud a man who had few sympathies for women in the Game but still took their threatening stance seriously. When the Jewess challebnged him, he responded in kind and killed her. Painter Charles Landelle was a suitor of the mysterious, beautiful woman in 1843 and he knew her nature as an immortal, the sight of her decapiated body caused him so much grief that he decided to honor her memory with the painting today called La Juive de Tangier.

Another one of the "sons of Sudala" has been identified, one hailing from the distant past of Congo but who proved to be more pacifical than Kashta of Nubia, prefering the pen and the mike to the sword, living by the old adage "the pen is mightier than the sword". However I wonder if Bangui is the place he needs, I heard he wants to travel abroad and move out of Bangui. Maybe Dakar, Nairobi or a city from North Africa. His mind isn't set yet. I have been watching Ivane Kazbegi since we landed foot in CAR and I can say this is not a pedophile preying on little children. Ivane is a good man who saw countless horrors and had to fend for himself in the Game, getting all the help he could find to perfect his swords skills. He may be serious about the Game but this is a man who is also serious about keeping peace in war-torn countries and who would never hurt a child. Trying to stem the tide of the disaster is like trying to empty the ocean with a teaspoon. Every day we see more and more cases of the AIDS virus. By the time the patients realize that they have the disease it is too late to do anything more than just hold there hands and wait for them to die. That is why Sekou has gone to the city to try to help the government come up with some plan to try to educate and identify people with HIV. One of the centerpieces of the plan is to build more clinics and schools and is helping to fund this project out of his own pocket. It will do nothing for the poor souls already infected but it could save the lives of thousands in the years to come.

She also had the sharpest needles in Trieste with which she helped 'women in need of solutions'. Smart enough to never get noticed. Until the day of February 1202 when she was noticed by the Hauser brothers, two sharks prawning for prey. The sibling killers first mocked her and then offered to kill her in a 'gesture of mercy' (they said). Milena gave them a stern send-off,succesfully shooting Hugo Hauser down but the killers wouldn't listen. If Hugo was the one who took Milena's head, the killing was a combined gesture has those two share a link that goes beyond fraternal relationship.

Nice idea with the Redeemers, my friend. I completely endorse the change you made to the CIA, since the original idea was that Merrick was the driving force behind their activities and the others were driven by patriotism and were susceptible to his twisted ideology.
BTW I've started updating my Immortals now as i'm transferring them to my PC again, and i'd like to incorporate the updates you've made in the intervening period. I'm starting with the currently active and inactive Immortals. I'm not going to ask you to post all 463 of them at the same time! Lol

Keith Douglas came to Chandra's home in search for knowledge, for the origin of the Game and of immortality. So far he received different views of immortality but sought advice from an Hindu; he was tipped by Ahasuerus on the possibility to learn more from Chandra Kapoor before he took the Wandering Jew's head and thus boarded a plane for India. Madras gave him the answers he sought in the presence of Professor Kapoor who lectures he attended, posing as a foreign student on an exchange student program between America and India. Chandra explained to Douglas that Hindi immortals belived that pre-immortals upon First Death didn't reach the multi-layered paradise of Hindu religion : they became the living dead who walked the earth, killing each others and the last one, the last immortal standing would accumulate all the life-energies of the death immortals and be joined with Buddha, thus becoming the chosen one. There can be ony One immortal to unite with Buddha. Keith Douglas lauded this vision of immortality and spent one entire year folowing the tutelage of Hindi masters before finally uniting Chandra's Quickening with his, promising his fallen teacher that one day his sould would be with Buddha.

There is the legend in Eastern Africa about Fire from the Sky, a dark-faced woman of amazing powers who killed an African prince around 400 AD, triggering an earthquake and the biggest lighting inferno to grace the land of Kenya. The woman put such an impression on the Kenyans that they called her Fire from the Sky, the witch who rose from the dead and killed the Prince who put him to death, taking his head and drinking his essence. This folktale clearly describes an immortal, a challenge and a Quickening.
Fire from the Sky is recorded as having raised a tribe of twelve children - who started wandering Eastern Africa upon reaching adulthood and all died in wars, all of them bearing the name "Kenyatta" and rising from the dead. We do not know what happened of them. Fire from the Sky raised those children after marrying a local prince, himself an immortal and is said to have kept him aprt from the education of her childen, never letting him approach her daughters. She fought often, led her tribe in war and battles, and often illuminated the Kenyan sky with ligtnings. She is written to have lived six generations before burying her husband and disappearing with her children, thus marking the time of her diseappearance around 520 AD when she fought a battle against the legendary Sekou Nkruma, the warrior who turned into a doctor. Sekou lives to this day, we presume she won the battle, being such a formidable warrior and allowed him to live.
